A few things I'd like to point out: It's always a good idea to do away missions. However, don't do the ore missions, because they almost never give you enough ore+gold. Hoarding arena crystals is one of the best ways to make it through the game. Never spend your energon on gold crystals because they one gold crystal doesn't give as much gold as an arena crystal. You have two choices on combat: Ranged and melee. Melee hits can combo for five, and ranged for three. Contest of Champion users will get the hang of this quickly. However, brand new players that have not played a Kabam game will get the hang of it, assuming they say "Yes" to the training fight. A combo tip they don't tell you is that you can dash, light hit three times, then medium hit. This deals the most damage with a combo sequence. Block afterward because the opponent will likely counter! That's about it. Good luck to all you newbies out there!
Great video very clear and informative. Id like to add advice to a new player the importance of the calendar. Log in Every day ! The rewards they give away towards the end of the month are huge help for a relatively new player and you can miss the last days of the calender rewards if you forget to pop in at least once per day and collect.
The only thing I would add would be for people like me who have to deal with time constraints; either way, this still might be an unpopular strategy, but I'm putting it out there. I find the best thing to do (for me at least) is prioritize spotlight missions and arena over the main story. Even though there are excluse rewards through the story, you'll get the lion's share through the other modes, especially if you want to build an army. More shards and upgrade materials mean stronger bots

Master the game's rock paper scissors...you don't see that on TH-cam obviously fo obvious reasons...but the reality is you will need to use a class to gain advantage over another very often enough. 2. Now that the simplest one is out of the way...now lets talk about the one that is almost so bad that even I can't seem to master it....energy. By level 20 energy depletion is a huge reality...the kabam common reality is energy has the harshest tax on your play(6mins.for one unit). You have free saves if you run out but it ain't enough most times. The art is to 1. Burn in such a way that u have enough to gain a level. Monitor exp and track your costs..heck even energon is good to burn if your less than 1/2 way..but yeah. Energy is a harsh reality..monitor ur char level and cost/exp well..cuz it can make or break your gameplay. 3. Conserve materials and use minimal cuz this game throws so many bots at u freely(to justify the vid poster energon conserve point) that it's nigh impossible to get ur dream team(btw theirs team synergy too..e.g. Megatron and Optimus get an old enemies synergy bonus) but yeah the team u dream to create may not be a reality until a year has passed an by then it's not.likely feasible to ya. So be picky and cheap until the mailbox last day to use...maxed out 1stars can last u for while and their cheap and easy while u build it awesome dream team...but u need to save ur mats. Sorry for the long rants but I lack the lingo to say it any easier. But it's mega important.for.new players to know this I think. Thanks for reading.
