I call BS. Working from home is one of the best things that came out of Covid especially for busy mothers. Some CEO’s just don’t like nor can adapt to change. I’m sure this video chased away a ton of talented prospective employees and this is coming from someone who works in HR.

Being in an office is beneficial to managers and the uppers because they get to flaunt their positions and walk around the office all high and mighty. WFH, nobody sees your fancy outfits or high priced shoes and you don’t get to pull up in your sports car. The RTO is all about ego. I tell you what, if I have to go into an office and look at your effin veneers all day, team player is the last thing you would call me.

Corp ladder vs expertise, kids and independence. People working from home are more likely to be able to work for customers worldwide.

Had to show off the real reason people need to RTO. So he can justify holding that real estate.

😂😂😂 Not at all. I go to the office to relax. My productivity in the office is max 40 % of the one I have working from home.
However, youngsters are completely lost at home.

If you're Hispanic, this company is hilariously called "que hace ella"
Otherwise, this CEO seems like he has quite a bit to learn about business culture and even his own employees, not a fan...

I'm watching this after a mass layoff at Kaseya. WFH saves corporations millions each year. I wonder how he feels about remote or hybrid positions now in relation to the expense of real estate to hold staff in office.

I have no problem with wfh, but............if my abode is not comfortable enough i.e. noisy environment or there are leaks in my apartment and constant power outages or poor internet coverage depending on my service provider then I'll have to go to the office, moreover, rent is already high, if I work from home, I am forced to take either an expensive internet plan or multiple in-case one provider goes offline which I will most likely not be reimbursed for. WFH has its perks if you have parental responsibilities or ill or if you have capital to provide continuous internet services. WFH is really more for side hustles. I used to completely agree with wfh but I never took into account the mandatory expenses needed to do my job.

Companies that require employees to be On-site should implement a 4 day work wk. He made a good point though- what works for one company may/may not work for another. Similarly, what works for one employee inevitably will not work for all. For many employees, the modest gain in productivity/efficiency by being on-site is neutralized by commute times which contributes to fatigue and stress.

"i'm not sure if it's possible to work from the beach" says the guy who has probably told generations of employees he's "working" from some exotic locale multiple times a year. all you need to work remotely is a laptop with an internet connection. what does it matter if i have my feet propped up in a chair for 8 hours as long as the work is done? another non-technical normie executive trying to restrain the creativity of critical tech workers.
