I mean surprisingly there's also quite a few steam engines listed for sale here and there. I found a little british industrial standard gauge 0-4-0 tank for like 40 grand.

There's a Ruston 48 in preservation less than 5 miles from where I live! I knew there was a loco there but hadn't twigged what it was until I was stood by it this weekend!
@@lmm It's at the Mountsorrel and Rothley Community Heritage Centre, just outside of Loughborough, Leicestershire. Only a small place with a couple of miles of track, all focused around the area's quarrying history. I believe it's their only loco.
Was this engine newly purchased for Croppers paper mill in Cumbria prior to being with Bob McAlpine? Some track is still extant around the mill and in Burneside/ Staveley.

Wow that's cool, in Wisconsin Dell's we have the Riverside & Great Northern Railway. Miniature steam engines used to be produced here, this includes the engine at the Milwaukee Country Zoo. Now it's basicly a museum and working railroad. Definitely one of the coolest and cheapest attractions in the Dells.
If he does it will most likely be from the company which keeps coming to tow* his vehicles because at this point they know that they can just give him one when they don't need one of there trucks.

Great video. Don't know if you would have enough space but maybe you could buy a Class 60 in the future when DB Cargo lists more of them in the future. I hear that 60081 has been bought by a private buyer and was in the GWR green livery. Sadly I cannot afford the real thing at present but I will stick to the OO gauge versions until I win the lottery one day lol.
@@lmm This might be old news but I remember that the value of the Class 37's were about £50k and when I last checked with DB Cargo, they were set reserved at £80-100k depending on the condition of the locomotive in particular but if you are lucky and negotiate a price when you are in a position to do so, you might be able to get a decent one for a good price. Also it might be worth looking into the crowd funding programs where you could raise funds for one. Just an idea for a future project mate. Keep up the great videos All the best Ash.

I was at the New jersey museum of transportation for their railroader weekend and they have a narrow gauge 0-6-2? Tank engine named the lady Edith and a trainset waiting on a guy like him to pay and collect it. But all they know is that he is having financial issues.

With the old Massey Ferguson MF35's as the tractor of choice. We have similar passion for just about everything mechanical. With me it's chainsaws, motorbikes, Land Rover Defenders, trucks, tractors, dozers, earthmovers, trains, tanks & mining machines. Also great editing. The music mixed well with the footage. This is some impressive modelling! 1:1 is not my preferred scale as it seems even more expensive than N gauge.

you've bought a railway engine. i've bought some crazy things over the years, but never rail stock. i hope you got a couple of rails to park it on, or it'll prolly be axle deep in the yard after the first rain.
Oh it lives at the MSLR, if you have a watch of the video called my Ruston goes on holiday or something similar, you'll see it go off on an adventure to another railway!
