So proud of you Lucy. Besides being a superb athlete, full of positivity and good spirit, you are also a fantastic ambassador for our country and giving us all something to be really proud about.
I never understood why people can be proud of someone else's achievements. Makes no sense at all. You can be happy for them, but to be proud you should do something yourself.
What a surprise ! I've seen you landed in Baden Airpark on saturday. I was on duty this day so I probably provide the approach for your plane !!! I hope you and Reece enjoyed it 😊 and congrats for your race and your still positive attitude ! Alain (one of your Kollektiv athlete)
Well done on continuing to push/test yourself and keeping your head amidst some racing challenges! That’s life! Well done Reece, can just imagine the logistical quagmire you were managing. Holly 👏👏👏
Really cool that you could make it! It was kind of unreal, thinking you wouldn't come and then seeing that cube prototype bike and red bull helmet through the bag at the bike check in queue in front of me, and slowly putting 2 and 2 together. Gutted your race was impacted by a mechanical, but super strong performance either way 💪 Looking forward to the rest of the season. With the form you, Ellie, Laura, Anne, Paula (and many more) are in, we'll get some very exciting racing
To Holly and the editing team, what a SUPERB job with the fan footage! Despite not being filmed the "usual" way the race clips look SO cool and support the story very coherently!
Congrats on your run, you are such an inspiration. Because of you I think of trying to get into triathlon at the age of 54. Stay as positive as you are, hope to meeting you some day. Greetings from Germany.
Loved the recap! I'd be really interested to hear more about the nutrition strategy that you were testing during the race if you're able to share in a future video.
Congrats Lucy 🎉. I was there also racing in Kraichgau, and just right behind you when you reach Ellie for 2nd place...so I had a little "live" preview of the recap 😂.
Looks like it was a great day, I can imagine it was pretty frustrating on the bike but the fact that you felt so strong during the run must have been a huge boost for the event and in general plus it looks like it was actually quite fun chasing the others! It strikes me that using a 1x drivetrain might help reduce the risk of mechanicals especially if the course is reasonably flat. Anyway, onwards and upwards! 🙂
Five minutes??!! 🧊🥶 amazing!!🎉 What are the colorful rubber bands you’re wearing on your arms at kraichgau? I’m guessing they’re for a purpose & not just for fun - to hold fuel?
Dear Lucy, so so well done on the race with all the stress around it!! Just one thought, and obviously I'm not an actual expert, but would you maybe benefit from doing some off-road riding (MTB, Gravel, cyclocross or similar) to improve the technical abilities on the bike? Just thinking of it as you seam to have trouble with technical issues which then cost time. just as a thought, obviously not pretending to know what you need to do as I'm still watching every video in total amazement of your strength and will power!! Best wishes from Germany
Love this, apologies I love telling & reading stories & in some ways using those last 2 days are just like the way Shoeless Joe Jackson spent his time playing baseball for any team that would have him on the roster. As in John Sayles Eight Men Out (1988). There is something to this sport, we are in that global barnstorming era and it is glorious. May the Northern Hemisphere Summer travels be glorious!
@lucy, if the document you need is the "Verpflichtungserklärung" happy to help. Can you talk about your nutrition strategy that you tried? Looks like it worked for you!
Maybe the best experience was that you are able to win races on the run. Having a good swim and bike before will always be an advantage. But you do not need to try to escape and create huge leading gaps for the run anymore.
Top podiums to compensate investment!, cube best price/performance hopefully, your effort unbeliiivable....you got all best except the natural eyebrows ......ha, ha ......

After cheering you on the TV for years, you finally cycled past my house. Amazing
I love that you included my pictures! :-)

Lucy, you are such a positive person, so good vibes and always gentle to other competitors. All the best and blessings for you and Reece.
Never cease to amaze me. Always love watching you! Who here thinks LCB and Reese should do a Q&A?!?!

Fantastic camera work! You seem incredibly powerful, please keep your form for Hawaii! All the best
Congrats Lucy! Great result, especially with the mechanicals. That ice bath looked hardcore, love the brass monkey sign on the side.
Your mindset is amazing! Love the way you do your sport with happyness 🙂
Seeing all the photos and videos from fans a great quick way to show the race.

Yay Lucy!👏🏻🙌.. Keeping a cool head and prevailing.. wow, 2nd place (just training) Bravo!👍🏻☺️
Way to persevere over a lot of distractions and unfortunate circumstances. Good luck in your next race!
oh man, I was so close with the ice bath time but not close enough! haha

Those bands are giving out during the run, you get one per lap to show you actually ran the full distance. In this case it was 3 laps of 7km😊
The rubber bands are a great idea
Ah, brilliant!! 😊very useful!
I think that is the most “Icey” ice-bath I have ever seen! When do you usually do ice baths and how often?
I luv u Lucy!

I Love you Lucy❤

Does anyone know who is the man on the bike following Lucy?
racing like an AG one day prior and pack and go!!!
Are you running any Midweek League?
What’s the name of the track you used?
Maybe the best experience was that you are able to win races on the run. Having a good swim and bike before will always be an advantage. But you do not need to try to escape and create huge leading gaps for the run anymore.
por que no poneis subtitulos en castellano?🙏🙏
I feel like as a Pro you shouldd be able to get a special travel excemption.
You did better in the ice bath than Lionel did last year
Well done not everyone can win
Why did you wear speedo goggles instead of ROKA and why did you wear a thermal cap?
Top podiums to compensate investment!, cube best price/performance hopefully, your effort unbeliiivable....you got all best except the natural eyebrows ......ha, ha ......
Oh, so that's why it's called Brass *Monkey*
Maybe you should’ve put the wetsuit on in the ice bath.
