@@Johnny_Zoom lol why? He played in LA longer. He actually made the Finals with the Lakers. And had maybe his best performance against MJ and the Bulls in that series.
Lakerfan here. That's another "great" Mitch Kupchak pickup. Great is dripping with sarcasm. Nothing against letting Vladimir finish his career where it began, but he was ancient and moved like a zombie from Walking Dead even when healthy. He got full MLE and played so little due to immediate injury that ANY footage proving that he came back to LA in 2006 is a rarity. I got a snippet of Vlade in another game from this season on my channel (a clip of one of his final drawn charges) and I got a number of commentors who replied in disbelief. They totally forgot Mitch re-signed him. I couldn't believe some of my fellow LA fans being stupid and ballsy enough to criticize Magic for the way he got rid of Kupchak because the list of flubs by Mitch like this signing is longer than Keon Clark's neck. He wasted so many MLEs on creeps like Devean George and Luke Walton and Vladimir Radmanovic that any good will he should've had for the miracle Kwame/Pau trade flew out the window. People crediting him for getting Pau forget he traded Caron Butler to get Kwame in the first place. He managed to sign BOTH slow, pointless Serbian Vladimirs in the league. Divac was merely injured and old, but Radmanovic was a moron. Fanbase called him "Space Cadet" after Phil himself coined the nickname. He went against his contract's clause against engaging in reckless behaviors and crashed in snow skiing accident and instead of using it as a convenient excuse to void his contract (because he sucked), Mitch forgave him! After that, Vladimir came into a practice late wearing slippers. Forgot to bring his shoes as he rushed out of the house. Phil kicked him out.
lol Vlade's full name isn't Vladimir, but I could see how someone might infer that. His name was actually Vlada, Vlade is just the conjugation of his name when addressing him (yes we conjugate names, generally 7 different ways of conjugating each person's name).
Radmanović was great talent, but was infameous because of having no discipline. He was kicked out of national team because he ate Banana on the bench during the game.
Fox defended him pretty well. Not a diss, that pretty much was the case. I remember a playoff gm where Peja was held to only 2 points. Fox was still a decent man defender in early 2000s if not a decent fighter. For what it's worth, I never really engaged in the criticism of Peja for missing that trey in Gm 7. Most other LA fans gloat about that to this day. Tough shot and he looked pressured for some reason into rushing it. I've seen Kobe airball more than one pressured clutch trey in his day. No clutch shooter is immune to a big miss. Horry was as deadly as a cobra, but he too boinked a critical trey in 2003 against SA after hitting the big one in 2002 vs Sac. Maybe Peja thought a defender was closing on him or that there was less time remaining than there actually was. His body was twisting in the air as he released iirc. That would've been an extremely tough make if it went in. If he had a clean look with even a second to line the shot up, that would've been bad news for LA. I don't think he choked. Choking is when a guy does have time to line up the seams and still airballs it. Any rate, I had no umbrage with Peja and Hedo. They were mild mannered gents. I can tolerate any opponent who doesn't talk a bunch of shit and who doesn't show off after big plays.
Ultra rare Vlade and Rudy T Lakers game.

04-05 season Vlade played with the Lakers, not 2006.
That Years Amazing...
Thanks a lot for uploading this gem. Priceless
What a classic Kings!!! 👑
Kings were never the same without vlade. You were able to tell that this kings team was different
Vlade retired at the end of the 2004-05 season, so this can't be 06. Great video anyway, thanks for uploading.
If i was Vlade i never would ve returned to La lakers
Yeah I have never heard anyone ask the question why would he go to the lakers of all teams???? 🤔
@@Johnny_Zoom he was drafted by them tho
@@9trestacksx630 you right just saying though he’ll be remembered as a King

I call the old version of him Vladimir as an insult, not because that's his birth name.

@@shodaddydrunk Vlade is Vlade, not Vlada, it's not conjugation, it's n9rmal name for that part of Serbia from where Vlade is. Kakav Vlada crni.
Peja could never have big games against the Lakers, glad he got his revenge with with Dallas
