Thanks for the video! It somehow reminded me of neoclassicla realism, which is considered to be "eclectic" because it incorporates the three levels together....
Any introductory International Relations textbook will address the levels of analysis. I've been using the free e-IR textbook (www.e-ir.info/2018/02/25/student-feature-levels-of-analysis/) which is generally very accessible.

It is when we conduct a research and need to find a theoretical framework. Is it necessary to be an IR theory like realism, liberalism or constructivism? Or we can depend on terminologies such as hedging, balance of power ... something like that. At first I thought only me stuck in finding a theory to explain my topic. But when I asked my other friends, they said they share the same concern.

For instance, when studying Japan foreign policy, I found some researchers look at hedging or accommodation while some look at pragmatic realism or neuautonomy ... This makes me feel quite confused when finding a theoretical framework.
