    Purchased the cfx 25 and 35. Both units are robust so it has some weight. The cfx25 is in the car. I load food then. I use Ecoflow river 2 pro for power. Not keen on Dometic power pack with lithium batteries. I bought this for emgencies more than comfort. Cools fast and built well. I use it often. Hoping both will last. I would be happy to answer questions.

      I have a Dometic fridge going for 10 years straight in Southern California inside my vehicle. 24/7 for 10 years up to 130 degrees inside the vehicle no issues

      @TobyCostaRica does it make any noise like knocking or banging sound once in a while?

      @TobyCostaRica thanks. ugh I am too lazy to return/exchange. I already returned 1 unit of the newer model. I guess I will have to eventually.

    How long should it take to cool to 9*F from 90*f with an empty box?

    I order one today at Best Buy, it's a substitute and that setup if behind the passenger seat above the 6 volts x2 . Looking at the control panel . That I would want toward the driver, their is the compressor grill at the other bottom end
    instead. Is that a inlet or outlet of fan blowing. Outlet bad air circulation. I guess I could swing it with the control on the far end and use the app. I could never get to it unless I open the side door, I don't want to move it as it flush to the seat & tied. Their about 3-1/2 " to the seat and below lot of room to the battery and I have made a 4"x3 hole in the floor for air to come in. What you think I should do?

      Hello. With such specific constraints, it would be advisable to have an in-person consultation. Feel feel to visit one of our many stores to ask for some suggestions: www.rackattack.com/stores/ Thanks!

      Thanks but I have already pull the trigger last Monday on that very dometic 55 and was also looking into 60 iceco, it just my observation as it is a comparison tube, . But Mine on the floor, control panel are meant to be read at it same level. Another think the dometic has rare blue tooth so you don't need to log in every time, just once in setup. And it is a dual zone cause of the ice maker has a cooling plate underneath but just not sections off to be called a dual zone. both are top of the line so hard to go wrong just preferrence.

    Hmm, so with the cooler set to refrigeration temps (~39°) and the ice tray removed, will turning the ice maker function on keep pints of ice cream sitting on top cold enough to remain at a good consistency?

    • @rackattack
      @rackattack  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. The ice trays are designed to take advantage of the surface area of the freezing element. Pints of ice-cream would reach the the ~39 degrees overall except the very bottom resting directly on the freezing element. It is possible to freeze the entire unit for ice-cream though. Thanks!

    Hi, does the cooler have a built in power supply, or does it have to be constantly plugged in to work?

    Your saying it uses 1440 watts a day. That's draining a 12v LifeP04 battery in a day

      Hello. The draw will vary based on many factors; opening/closing frequency, external temperatures, contents within the fridge, ect. In most cases the portable battery will power the 55IM for 48 hours. Thanks!

      Not at all. My lithium 100ah battery went 3 days with some juice leftover in 35-38 degree heat. I can stretch it to 5 days in the spring and fall. Ice maker will draw more power but I haven’t strategically tested that yet. It’s negligible
