in Poland voice overs have been the most popular way to watch the movies since the 80s, i know it feels like the voice of narrator feels monotonous, but most ppl in the country have accustomed their ears to it lol 😆
What's the difference between Swiss German and German? Maybe it's because the German one had less quality, but I really couldn't make out most of it. Neither one sounded quite right to me, though.
@@amazingfireboy1848Well, if you are not familiar with German it might sound familiar. I‘m German but I honestly would have struggled to understand the Swiss German version if I didn’t know the actual scene.
The German version feels so off. I feel like due to German taking more words to express things than English does the pacing feels way faster because there aren't as many pauses which really bugged me. Also, unless I'm stupid, I'm pretty sure "Huschel" is not a word, so the pun loses some of it's value, though I understand that translating puns accurately is almost always impossible
You can't translate the joke well, the word "Huschel" doesn't really exist in German either. However, "gedämpfte Huscheln" sounds so stupid that it makes it funny again.
Same with the Icelandic one… I have never heard anyone refer to any form of beef as ,,beljur’’, that is literally like saying steamed cow… it doesn’t make any sense (also the voice acting is bad… but that is neither here nor there)
the joke with the German version is about dialects, because German has so many dialects that a word like "Huscheln", even though everyone knows it's nonsensical, could actually pass as a word for a hamburger in a random dialect
"Whaaat?? You ... hamburger ... ...???" Probably Swiss German, but I don't know enough regular German to say for sure. What's the version of German they teach on Duolingo?
The quality of the microphones used seems to vary greatly between each dub... I guess they just have worse microphones in France. And in the Swiss German dub, the only person who actually had any urgency in her voice was Agnes.
Some are fanmade, like the Swedish and Norwegian ones (I think) which would explain their mics For the other ones that are official. It could be budget, but the episode was made in ‘96 but you’d think most would have good mics by then, regardless of budget
Does anyone know the reason why the polish just use a translator for the characters rather than dub the show itself? It's just because this is the second time I've seen this happen with polish. I'm curious that's all.
I think it's just that some countries are used to that type of translation, they've done it like that since the beginning, so they keep doing it like that, for us in other countries it's kind of weird
Rettentően rossz volt a magyar fordítás, egy csomó poént nem adott vissza. Rengetegszer a fordító nem ismerte az emerikai popkultúrát és a sokszor alap poénokat fordítottak teljesen félre.
