We were able to visit this cemetery a couple years ago. We wanted to stop and pay our respects to many of the greats that we grew up listening to. Thank you so much for sharing this video. You did a great job telling about the artist and showing their final resting place. Looking forward to seeing Part 2. Keep up the great job!
Bro JD Sumner was such a Wonderful Friendly Christian Man and a Very Blessed Gospel Singet! Met and talked with him at our home Church of God years ago when the Blackwoods Quartet came to sing! He talked with a few of us girla and he would Tease us and Laugh! Also saw Bro.JD When He was with the Stamps Quartet and His Sweet Nephew Donnie Sumner! What Beautiful singing for the service❤😊 Miss them all so much❤🙏🙏🙏🙏👋👋👋👋🙏
@@rockytoptraveler … I used to be but no more. I guess it may have something to do with my hearing. My sister was the better singer anyways. She could sing anything and had a strong, powerful voice. Plus, she had great vibrato.
Lynn's mother, Liz, was a great singer. See on you tube, was on Lawrence Welk show to duet with Lynn, Liz sang with Roy Drusky in song with another female singer ( forgot name) song was about 3 way relationship-- your side, her side and my side too- few words in song. Seems like Lynn's dad wrote songs
Just like I said in the #2 videos I didn't know there was so many stars buried over there I work right across the street at 659 thompson lane the comfort group it's got thistle man on the corner made out of metal
I have a picture of me sitting on J.D. Sumner’s lap taken at the old Tupelo Mall in Tupelo, Mississippi (Elvis’ hometown). Not the greatest pic though.

I’ve been an avid fan of Tammy Wynette for a whole lot of years, since the 1970s. Used to sing her songs at talent contests.

My nieces ex-husband was a drummer for Little Jimmy Dickens.

The Bryant’s also wrote a lot of song for the Everly Brothers.
I knew they wrote a lot of other songs but I didn't know who all recorded them. Thanks for the information and thanks for watching.
@@rockytoptraveler one that they wrote was ‘Love Hurts,’ the song by Nazareth in the 70s. It was first recorded by the Everly Brothers.
@@RobGa66 oh wow, I definitely didn't know that!
