    This process is so amazingly and professionally done. Drew literally talked these guys through moment by moment guiding this huge tub onto the dolly. This is not something for the average person to try at home. You need professionals. Proud of you, Drew Vance!!!

      @ForeMoney  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, very much so. They were so professional the entire time. I was asking tons of questions on and off camera and they answered everything with great detail. I had no idea it was that difficult to move a hot tub, but they really knew what they were doing and kind of made it look easy. That being said, I would still never attempt it, lol. Thanks for watching!

      I work for a hot tub company and believe it or not we would consider this about as easy a move as we could ask for. Some of the more difficult things I've done would include going down (and up) a flight of about 20 stone steps with a hot tub weighing between 800-1000 lbs. sometimes we need to use one of these dollies connected to one of our trucks by a ratchet strap to lower it down a steep dirt hill on the side of a mountain to move it into a vault (a big hole in the ground) and then connect the electrical and install the cover and cover lifter and then do two more that same day all without a crane.

      That's exactly right. These guys have been in business for a long time and know more hands on deck will produce a safer outcome. The other side was an option, but not a very good one. this route was the best route and these guys did it perfectly.

    What do you do with the power cord? Do you cut it and leave it under the dirt? Does an electrician have to come to disconnect the cord from the breaker?

    • @ForeMoney
      @ForeMoney  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. The cord was buried in the ground with a conduit pipe. We ripped it out and disconnected it from the designated breaker by the tub. We did have to open the breaker box and unscrew the cables from the terminals, but it was simple. The new owner of the tub was going to reuse the breaker box so he took it with him.

    We strap our frame on the hot tub without the wheels to minimize stress on the cabinet. Then once strapped tight, add the wheels. This puts all the strain on the wheels and distributes the weight across the cabinet to avoid cracking. Plus we use a large yoga Mat to protect the cabinet. No saran wrap necessary.

    After watching this video I must cut my iron fence near the 36" gate to accommodate the turn radius of the dolly as it goes around the support structure of the house into the patio. Also remove two bushes, and lay down 3/4" plywood over the soft ground. I'm amazed at the ingenuity of the designer of the dolly and trailer.

    • @ForeMoney
      @ForeMoney  ปีที่แล้ว

      yea they really thought of everything. its pretty cool how these spas can stand up and be transported that way.

  • @brianhulsey7437
    @brianhulsey7437 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You should run the second strap front to back instead of side to side. The strap on the dolly holds it side to side

    • @gaugegaugeg
      @gaugegaugeg 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      First thing the dolly is on wheels I would have assembled it in the street and rolled it to the backyard. Next thing I would have done was set up the dolly next to the hot tub as not to slide it all around. Then I would have never added those blankets and plastic wrap because as soon as they stood it up all the water went straight under the plastic wrap to the blanket so when they were adjusting it on the dolly the blanket was already rolled down due to the weight of the water and it wasn’t protecting the shell. And it also made it so that it was in the way when they went to hook it with the trailer.Next it’s very flat ground there’s no need for so many straps and the boards they put down by the gate was completely useless it is flat ground. And also I don’t see what the point was of disconnecting the trailer from the tongue to put the display arm on A lot of wasted time.

    • @ForeMoney

      @@gaugegaugeg Thanks for your feedback and thanks for watching!

    • @isaacwestover6829
      @isaacwestover6829 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree sliding the tub around that much was unnecessary. They actually did need to disconnect the trailer from the tongue as that is how they tipped the trailer and connected it to the dolly. the "display arm" was a tool that they used so they could have more leverage but with the amount of people they had,j more leverage wasn't needed.

    • @gaugegaugeg
      @gaugegaugeg 2 ปีที่แล้ว
