I’m a nurse in Scotland and I learned hospital corners as a kid - mum was a nurse too. It really does look good and seeing a patient return from a procedure or the bathroom to a freshly made bed is always good. They appreciate it and everyone likes a nicely made fresh bed.
My mum taught me to do this, may I add that if you're an every day person tryna make your bed look good, I personally think it's okay to just tuck the flap in under your bed once you're done tucking the bottom in. looks perfectly fine, and less effort :))
Well made, Nice job...I was USAF so, after basic, I never did another bed corner... Your video helped me to remember the method...That stiff hand bend was TIGHT!...:)..
I agree it looks much better fully tucked in. However, the reason most hospitals do not want the full tuck is that it takes longer to open the bed for a new patient. Its all about saving time.
Thanks for the demo without screaming like a drill instructor 😅👍
THE BEST hospital/military corner bed making video I have found. Showing this to all my nursing students. Thank you!!
Wow, thank you!
This is the best video I’ve found on hospital corners. Very clear and simple.
Thanks for your time

For some reason I never can get this right
Im struggling to get the first triangle, I tuck the corner but then it just ends up being square, any tips?
make sure to foot is tucked in tight. when you fold back the first triangle keep it tight and go straight back.
I do it daily's after a I wake up
What is the point of the hospital corners because when you leave the rest of it hang down it looks really weird and in my opinion doesn't look nice

0:45 this is the part I just cannot figure out, whenever i pull the blanket back everything wrinkles.
make sure everything is tight. keep tension on the blanket as you pull it back. that should help.
Video is 5 fps
