Thank you very much for the video, before disassembling the whole car, or paying a fortune to change 3 spark plugs, I will take the opportunity to sell it, and buy a four-cylinder, thank you!
Actually I didn’t mind doing this because this car has $350k miles and still running…a 4cylendar won’t give me that
@MichaelMulin yeah. That's what it about. It's not as hard as u think if you can change your engine oil than you can replace this. Remember to take a few photos of some parts for reference when reinstall them later
Had to install intake gasket on
my 07 es 350 .I never seen so
many screws fastners clips ect involved in removing the
damn thing .BTW good camera work with video 📹.
I like this car but to change the spark plugs so difficult to me thank you very much for great video
Thanks for posting. May I suggest the following…..After removing the coil and before removing the spark plug, a shot of air with a long nose air nozzle is a good idea. It prevents any possible dirt to get in to the cylinder. A small amount of anti-seize on the plug is a good idea. A length of vacuum hose connected to the plug will help with installation, and prevent cross threading.
Ok at first I thought great idea removing windshield cover etc. Nice approach to what I did which was remove intake - aka the hard way. Then I saw you removing all the intake etc and thought what the heck. Surely with the windshield body part removed there is plenty of access to go from there? If not removal of the windshield stuff would be more wasted time imho. I did it fine with just removing the intake on my 2004 HL. As an aside I never understood why people work on there car with sandals on, thanks for the video!
Depends on what everyone’s preference is for ease of work. For me it worked better this way.
I don’t do this work for living. It’s more of helping someone so wearing sandals was a personal choice. Nothing wrong with it at all!
I just changed the back three without any of this 2000 XLE V6. It is tight, yet the design makes it possible.
This video was actually very helpful thankyou
I just did my in-laws 07. I just removed the cowl and was able to use extensions and a U joint to get back there. Took me 2-3 hours for the front and back.
Hello and excellent video tutorial. You think I could change the coils without removing the intake manifold?
It looks like I may have enough room if I use the correct extensions
@@HowToDoitright I’ve see others do it. I’m gonna try it.
Still tho, your video is one of the best out there for this job 👍
Much appreciated it would have been a nightmare job without your help
Thanks for the help. Everything worked out great. 👍
Did you have to drain any coolant before doing any of this? Alldata mentions draining coolant but watching this video I don’t see why.
Great video easy-to-use follow

This one is way more difficult than the 4 cylinder Camry.... think I will just pay someone
You can pay a tech. But if you have patience and diy home mechanic, it's not as hard as you think.
Thank you for helping
Just did mine and on the rear ones when I was pulling the big harness I ripped out the 3 wires on the camshaft sensor they are yellow, red and black wires do you by chance know the order the wires go back into the clip.
Hmm I honestly don’t know. I always make a video when I am removing stuff just incase these issues happen I can go back and figure out.
Thank you!
What’s the torque for the plugs ? I’ve heard 18 ft pounds
@@HowToDoitright at first so did I. Just tighten them up pretty good with about a foot long 3/8 inch ratchet. That matters because with bigger ratchet you can overtighten them. When I went back and I used my 3/8 inch HF torque ratchet set at 15 ft lbs and it was about right maybe 13 , 14 ft lbs hardly any additional tightening needed . Barely tighten it just like a lil more
Lexus stealership wants $1,000 to replace ONE ignition coil. $250 for ONE coil...I can get 6 for $95. Ugh. Watching these videos I see I can do it. The stealership said 3.5 hours labour and intake manifold gaskets, yet I have seen other videos where you leave air box and intake manifold on and it can be done. Of course it is the middle cylinder in the back that threw the error code. But by taking TH-cam courses like this I can piddle away at it and do it. Thanks.

I was just quoted today at Toyota at $1,200.00 to change the spark plugs. It's insane how much they want.
TH-cam adds are worse than commercials used to be
Mechanis Charge 400 dollars for Labor Only. No wonder friggim V6s are no joke
Another video removing the intake manifold come on guy I just did it last week just remove the wiper tray you can get to it it’s only take 1 hour it’s tight but it possible, its be longer if you breaks the plastic tap that plug into the coil.
they say v6's camrys are great. probably to drive but it looks like a bear to tune up. My four is simple to tune.
I'll just pay the dealer for this.
@@HowToDoitright Oh I didn't know there rules for watching videos here ? Post the rules. Thanks.
No just curious why you wasting time watching TH-cam when you can afford to pay the dealer
There's such a easier way doing it this way is just stupid
Oh really. Then why don’t you record snd share you video here so we can learn from you instead of just reading a stupid comment….Talk is cheap
@@HowToDoitright lmao salty I see dont be mad at me cause your stupid that's God's fault
This was one of the best instructional I I’ve seen on TH-cam. Good quality in camera also. I have an Avalon with this same engine and I’m not looking forward to doing this. Thanks to this video I think I’ll be alright
Great video, he has a steady camera hand , easy explanation-very clear & thoughtful .
A home run. Thanks for sharing, easier for me to do now !
Cheers, Don.
Glad I was able to help someone. Always a great feeling!
Wow great video had no idea there was so much involved. How long did this take?
