I simply can't keep up with the MMS anymore! This figure was my turning point, since 2016 I voed to buy all the NEW Godzilla related MMS figures Bandai would release, and some select repaint/reissue figures... But I can't anymore! I gotta be more selective due to both money and space, and unfortunatly, Landing Bipedal Hedorah here just isn't doing it for me... It is a cool looking figure however, and maybe one day I'll track it down, but I'm not going to force myself to buy it like past me would have. ANYHOOOO, another great review Rob!
It’s intimidating at this point, especially this year! We had a few months where we had multiple MMS drops for Godzilla (and then some). If I wasn’t so obsessed with keeping up with the line… lord knows I’d have much more space and take-out money lol Got a feeling next year will.. only be worse.
I think you are correct good sit, especially with Bandai's push in the US. They know people eat up anything with the word exclusive, so GSE figures will for sure climb in numbers, as will standard retail releases @@ShinRobjira
While the old mold is getting a bajillion repaints by the second, it is cool that the new mold is accompanied by the different forms of Hedorah that don't get new figures that often. It would be cool to get repaints of them tho. But literally a mms Bagan happened before the new Hedorah mold could get a repaint. Admittedly a very cool surprise from Toho and Bandai. Still hoping for Zilla.
I think the ‘Whoring Of Hedorah’ Bandai is doing as of recent is just them realizing the cash cow that is THE SMOGGY SAVANT. How they handle it…. Yeah it’s a bit one sided. But I’ll take new forms and then some! Whether we see another Hedorah repaint for Godzilla day or not, I’m somewhat doubtful. Which means it’s gonna happen now. Yay. But like you said, friggin B A G A N! the long lost boi from the 80s. After a drop like that.. yeah Bandai can do whatever they want lol
That happens when director and cinematic visionary, Yoshimitsu Banno, decided last minute that he wanted Hedorah to glisten and took a hour plus to coat the suit in reflective paints. A real savant!
So we are getting the crawling version coming up. It is likely to have the saucer version and if maybe....the swimming tadpole version. Edit. Should have waited to watch the whole video before commenting it.😂
