I love how involved PuKi is in their music, it's very rare in kpop for multiple members to have not only writing but also composing credits They deserve their first win!
their competition is groups like newjeans, aespa, le sserafim, ive, illit, etc., aka groups from companies who can afford to churn out as many comebacks as possible. plus, those groups could release music that’s hot garbage and still top the charts because they have name recognition. not many midtier and nugu groups have the ability to disrupt that kind of performance unless they get a breakout song (ex. kiss of life exploding in popularity after midas touch, stayc clawing their way out of nugudom) that the general public resonates with. rbw isn’t exactly an unknown company, but they don’t have the borderline infinite money to shell out at their groups like the bigger ones do (and my assumption is most of the money they earn goes to the ceo’s pockets and then MAMAMOO’s budget). the members participating more intimately in comeback preparations is not the issue, rather it is a financial and promotion issue. self-made groups can flourish with the proper support, so don’t disparage them. it’s not the members’ faults their company does such a poor job at spreading the word about them.

I know from Dreamcatcher, they tried with OOTD and only their massive fan loyalty prevented it to flop immensely (although I still love the song). Idk what they're doing now, bc they tried going the Dreamcatcher route since debut but it didn't work, but the Tiktok route also doesn't work. Let's say this is a Halloween cb - what then? They won't stick to that. They showed that TWICE with Zombie and Nerdy. I just wanna say to plory - even if you love this, be prepared to have a Zombie moment again. They will keep pushing out weird tt.

She is literally not turning anyone away from the group.
