This is why I love going to games early, watching players take batting practice, ground balls, Etc. it’s definitly part of the baseball game experience.

Notice how quiet their lower bodies are & the way their arms take their hands to the ball & then BANG, throw that top hand & the bat explodes through the ball. Awesome to watch.

@@JurassicParker13 He took BP at Yankee stadium. He asked his manager (who used to be a coach with the Yankees) where Judge and Stanton hit their home runs during BP. He wanted to hit them farther than they did. According to his manager, Ohtani hit way longer than both.

Usually the hitter cages have a target at the back for hitters to throw at. But since that not out there the catcher is just a target for the pitcher.
