Thanks for the footage, certainly brings back memories for me. Although, I would just add that although the fourdrinier set-up is quite familiar, the free and easy access to catwalks and under machine whilst in production is something not seen in the UK since the 80's/early 90's. The implementation of effective guarding is a subject close to my heart and one which I became heavily involved with. It is no surprise that Chinese and Indian workers face so many hazards to their welfare when working with unguarded machinery etc. I worked for over 20 years, producing products as diverse as bank note and air-mail, from watermarked stock/share certificates to 'foil' for the furniture/laminating industry. I'm happy to say I still have all my limbs intact.
Omg, not much ppe on show there..sandals and reels of paper never a good mix...paper making from the dark ages....RIP Rigid Paper 2009,this is as close as i ever want to be to a paper mill now 👍
No boots, no hairnets, no hard hats: Knew this mill was not in the USA as soon as I saw the casual disregard the operators have for their own safety. Not much fun when a foot gets crushed, or hair is pulled between rollers by static charges.

Contrary to the title of this video, the medium paper is fluted at the box plant, not on a paper machine
wow that is a slow machine
haha, yeah it seems to be running just a little bit faster than when some machines start up the dryers to warm them up.
I see housekeeping and PPE are high on the list.....

Some paper mills still let workers wear shorts and sandals in US
