- Vinnie Vincent Invasion was an American heavy metal/glam metal band formed in 1984 by former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent.
The band released two albums, Vinnie Vincent Invasion (1986) and All Systems Go (1988). After the band ended Vinnie Vincent carried on as a solo artist...
The track Love Kills is taken from the bands second album "All Systems Go" which was released in 1988. The track also featured in the movie soundtrack "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master".

Yeah those were the days. To ask a girl out, you’d look her up the phone book and call her parents’ land line. On date night, she would have a perm, denim jacket, and tight jeans. You might hang out at the video arcade for an hour before standing in line to get your movie tickets and popcorn. Then, whike you are watching Nightmare on Elm Street, she gets scared and cuddles with you.

Just think if Kiss never fired Vinnie Vincent we would never have gotten Vinnie Vincent Invasion and if Vinnie Vincent Invasion never got rid of their original vocalist we would never have gotten Mark Slaughter and if Vinnie Vincent Invasion never broke up we would have never gotten the band Slaughter. So what I’m trying to say is thank you Vinnie Vincent.

The real band Slaughter was an 80s death metal band with a album called Strappado..they were out first to and it took some time but that caused some controversy and eventually there are two bands called Slaughter..

Even though Vinnie Vincent was hard to deal with most of the time, he was/is one hell of a song writer! Absolutely love Slaughter! Too bad they lost the guitarist some time ago.

i have been through white snake , bonjovi, skid raw, queen riot, warrant, kiss, mortey crew, europe and now i m checking about this band.
If you liked VVI...check out a newer band called Crazy Lixx..their song "Killer" is VERY similar to this style..you'll like it.

Vinnie Vincent Invasion is the coolest names in hard rock/ heavy metal history and Mark Slaughter's vocals are Awesome to say lol!!
He bought the name off L.A. guitarist Greg Leon who had the Greg Leon Invasion in the early 80s.

I remember at 7 years old seeing this video on MTV with Freddy Krueger in the video and two years later Mark Slaughter released up all night. I thought it was the same band. Being Mark and Dana would form Slaughter and Bobby Rock would join Nelson.

Vinnie had the Midas touch in the 80's
I really love Mark's voice in this and the first Slaughter album. He was one of my favorite singers, stylewise. And the timbre of his voice was quite unique. The 80's was such a great epoch to be alive as a music fan.
The harmonization in this song is almost on par with Def Leppard

Not in anyone of Slaughter's albums Mark reached the 100% feeling of his voice...too sad for him...good songs but none like Vinnie ...

Drummer Bobby Rock and especially bassist Dana Strum were always outcasts in the "Vinnie vincent Invasion" videos in terms of on-camera approaches. But in this video they were totally left out in the final cut. If I'm not mistaken there is not a single close-up of them in this clip. Only Mark and Vinnie have close-ups, so it looks like a video of a duet and not of a four member band.
