It is then understood that a snake edge is a reactable low tracking launcher around 27-31f of startup that can be punished by a launcher. While a hellsweep the same way is famous from Kazuya, which is an unreactable low that usually leads to a knockdown or a small combo for devil jin, but there are other characters than mishimas who have hell sweeps. Like azucena, clive, bob. Etc

And you cannot really use a snake edge as a punish tool since they are very slow as i said roughly between 27f to 31f of startup, and usually we speak of punishes for move that are between -10 to -19 on average. So a snake edge could not punish. There is an argument for these moves to be used on oki when the opponent would least expect it after a good amount of conditionning, but it's always no matter what, very high risk for a solid reward. But the risk is that you take 50% of your life bar if it's blocked.
