- In this concept, Kris and Susie need to seal the school closet's Dark Fountain. Perhaps the Roaring was successfully averted, the Knight defeated, dozens of Darkners recruited, the secret bosses saved or stored away... but until every single Dark Fountain is sealed, all of it could always happen again. The threats would never stop. So Kris and Susie are reluctantly forced to seal one last fountain... Ralsei's fountain.
One day, Chapter 7 might end like this, or it might end in a completely different way. Regardless, the journey getting there is going to be fun.

The Reverse Roaring / Possible Angel's Heaven concern...
Would this cause it?

We're all basing this off Ralsei's prophecies and the lore drops he makes out of the blue. When darkness overwhelms light. When the balance and equilibrium is shattered. The Roaring ensues.
This ending's interpretation puts the Light and Dark dynamic onto a standstill. Stalemate. Think of an hourglass: Light and Dark on their respective sides. The gap and holes between them allow flow and current, which causes Dark and Light to mix. Thus, Dark Fountains. And if the Castle Town (Ralsei's) Fountain is the most pure, then it's sort of the official, *permitted* gateway between both worlds.
Kris and Susie sealed the gateway. So the hourglass's midpoint is shut tight. But would this cause a Reverse Roaring? We don't truly know yet if sealing Ralsei's Fountain would encourage this...
And just because the joint of the hourglass is permanently sealed... Does that really mean all of Darkness is gone? Maybe not, it's still there even if it's inaccessible now. Dark and Light both remain on their own sides.
It's simply that one world can't visit the other anymore. And I figured narratively, having to say good-bye to your party after going through so much seems like a fitting end for the game. But again, that's just this video's interpretation.

the fact that asriel is waiting for them outside once they close the final fountain, makes the link between him and how ralsei had just vanished moments prior really good.
it’s a very intruiging subject to think about.. about how this is all going to fold out in the end and when we hopefully find out why ralsei carries asriel’s appearance.
i have an incredible theory, so you see ralsei is the pink corn that kris used to use to pretend to be a monster, he truly wanted to be like his brother, mother or father a furry goat. But he wanted to be more like asriel ofc bc he is his older brother lol, so ralsei looks like asriel due to the fact that he represent what kris want to look like he was a child

Even worse. This would be the "they didn't find her" ending, and thus not the real ending.
Kris desperately trying to reopen the fountain because they're still looking for Dess but we (the player) ended things "properly" and now they can't.
Let's be honest though, no matter how it ends, we all gonna cry like crazy because that will mean Deltarune ended and there won't be any more :(

It symbolizes not only the characters saying goodbye to this world, but us as well.
If toby could implement this type of ending while also implementing the "player is the angel and we get ejected out of the program" ending that would definitely hit my soul different ❤️🔥
I love how even though Kris is simply looking down, you can still see just how sad they are inside, man... just imagine what the actual ending to Deltarune will be like, it must be something really incredible/tragic for Toby to make an entire game based around it just because of that fever dream he had years ago.
(not to mention that the whole reason Undertale even exists is because Toby wanted to see if he was capable of making Deltarune in the first place, and Undertale is already a major tear jerker)
this is a pretty good interpretation, and i love how bittersweet it is its so sad yet somewhat wholesome
I imagine the ending wouldn't be this simple and would be far more surreal and involve the player being ejected from the program, no longer in control of Kris

if you think about it the entire thing of the roaring is that it happens if theres an imbalace between light and dark
which means that the world being covered in light IS possible, and is not good

Imagine, instead of shadow titans emerging from the lands, a bunch of gigantic angels come from the skies, They would be really bright and be on fire, and just create death again.

This is such an amazing concept of an ending, the fact that ralsei is the lost red horns that kris got is really neat

Awww…this is so bittersweet. I love how it ties into the idea that what they’re doing is at least partially based on imagination, based on the “normal” school closet. Even when the final fountain is sealed, it’s masked in such a way that no one besides Kris and Susie will truly know, and I think that’s such a sad but fitting ending for their adventures. Especially when paired with Asriel’s visit at the end there…you’ve outdone yourself with this 😢❤

Well.... There should be a balance in the world, both, darkness and light should be equilibrated, so.... I think the only way this could happen is that there is another fountain, the original one

aren't they closing fountains due to the fact that there's an unbalance between light and dark? Naturally they'd still be leaving the one in castle town open, so unless something changed or ralsei and lancer got murdered, there's no real reason for them to disappear.

They most likely didn't DIE. The Dark Worlds are probably just inaccessible now.
my own take for this is that, in order to defeat the Titans and restore balance is by sealing all the fountains with our light, with the final one closed (the Catle Town), Kris' SOUL will be free from our control since we accepted it to leave this world behind alongside with the Dark worlds.
There is a possibility that the legend is a lie, and in reality there is no such thing as a balance between light and darkness. On the contrary, the only way to save the world and keep it healthy might be to close all the dark fountains.

Imagine if it says at the end "as i went through my life i never forgot my adventures, i always replayed them wishing i could go back. So i made it real, i made them into a video game to share to the world."
The real kicker here is that... We definetly will have to bid farewell to the dark world, to Ralsei and to Lancer.
And if it hits this hard, im gonna cry like a damn maniac.
But the closet dark World will probably stick around. Balance of light and dark, and whatnot.
I chocked up at 1:10 and started crying the first time I watched it, because I’m so attached to Ralsei and Lancer as characters…
I honestly think this is so bittersweet as a concept for Deltarune’s ending. But I’m not really sure if we’ll leave Castle Town behind for good at the end of the story… I feel like there needs to be a balance of Light and Dark, though we still don’t know because Toby Fox hasn’t released the remaining chapters of Deltarune yet…
Regardless, you did a great job on this. I like your take, even if it made me cry. It was well-written.
I just hope he wrote his dream down somewhere in case someone else has to pick up where he left off.

One big plot twist:
These were actually just dreams kris has been making up to forget about _the truth_
Part 1: kris and the gang used to be a friend group inculding noelle,dess,kris,asriel,susie and berdly.before the _event_ happend, everything was good and fun.
KRIS
kris was an ordinary child that was probably lost his family at a very young age. The cause of his family loss is unknown. Later then, he was adopted by the dreamurr family. And then kris met asriel which meant almost everything to him. Asriel treated him like a true sibling since he was seeing him as an "second chara".later, one day the two met noelle and dess.which they made pretty good friends with.and later noelle intruduced berdly to the group. The five got pretty close togehter being best friends.

Damn, if Deltarune ends like this I will fucking cry for 2 days... But at the same time, it would be Really Nice, for me, it's an Amazing Way to Finish a Beautiful Game like this. I dont know what Toby Fox is going to do, all I know, it's that This Game will be Beautiful and It will end in a Perfect Way
Honestly, if the game just ended with sealing last fountain as usual with nothing crazy going on, this would be SO underwhelming lol.
Don't get me wrong, i like the animation, you did a pretty good job. I just hope Toby comes up with a more satisfying ending.

I loved the animations, but if this was deltarunes ending I'd hate it 😭. Not because the animation is bad or anything but just because GODD it's so depressing. Made me actaully want Kris to open a dark fountain at the end.

So, I'll be honest. I think no matter how kind we are kris and the others will betray us. They will banish us from the world despite us literally giving them the best ending possible. So, this is the question we should ask. "Should we really be kind to them?"
the music is really emotional... but whats with the undertale leitmotifs? what does that actually have to do with deltarune. i get it, undertale is nostalgic!!! but thats not deltarune. does this ending have something to do with UT? is lore a lore reason for it here? cuz if not then im very confused.

The simple fact that this could happen as an ending where we finally stop entering the Darkworlds, we fullfil the prophecy and, possibly end the last connection with Darkness there Is (Even with our Darkner friends...) Don't Forget... that would make a lot of sense, but that's also a heartbroken ending... *well, I hope we'll Never Forget.*

The thing about this ending that works even if it is super simple, is how it covers both sides of this.
Kris, the character, being sad they have to say goodbye to this world, and their adventure, etc.
US, the soul/player, ALSO saying goodbye to Deltarune. The world, the characters.
Its like, exponentially sad.

I consider this a very good ending, an ending that really breaks you, and the fact that we can't see Asriel after 7 chapters It gives it a mystique, because of everything Asriel represents in Undertale.
