    There is no wrong answer between Mick Foley and Sting but if I had to pick Mick Foley would be my pick because I have seen him do things no human being should do and could actually wrestle and tell a story💯

    As to whether Sting would have benefited from going to WWF for a bit in the late '80s, don't forget who was still on top in WWF at that time: Hogan. There's no way they would've allowed Sting to get over to that extent as long as Hogan was still around. It was different in WCW in the mid-1990s when Hogan came in or in the 2000s in TNA because Sting was #1 babyface with those two promotions.

  • @addidaswguy
    @addidaswguy ปีที่แล้ว

    I kind of agree on the Sting and them saying he hasn't worked in 10 years, but on the other hand, come on it's wrestling! Andre was booked as "Never lost in 15 years" or never been bodyslammed when people were doing it all the time. Just because we have more information doesn't mean it should change, at least not everything imo.

    As for the Luger wheelchair/HOF thing, Mad Dog Vachon was on stage in his wheelchair & had Pat Patterson speak for him cause his health wasn't the best. The speech wasn't well received & we never had anyone on stage not in good health ever again.

    • @axlbomber
      @axlbomber ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can Luger really not even walk? Wow, that's a crazy thought. I know he was hosting that men's retreat with Nikita at one point, was he wheeling around there? I don't think that would've happened. But i have heard these reports of him in a wheelchair. I missed the A&E Biography... I'm out of the loop here lol Genuinely curious if he can walk

    Had to pause the video and go read the Lex article. I started watching WCW in 95, and I remembered Lex as being a big star, but I always thought his work was kinda sloppy. I always thought of his friendship with Sting as one of the main reasons he was as popular as he was. After watching "Reliving the WAR" for months now, I've yet to see otherwise. He had a lot of good matches, but he had a lot of sketchy situations too. Not denying his earlier career was what it was, but later on its kind of a toss up for me. I think he woulda been much better in the upper mid card as opposed to the main event circle.

    I'll have to point this out again. Mick, you're looking at Vince McMahon's decisions in the best way you can but I genuinely believe, Lex Luger, is not shown NOT because Vince wants people to be away from real problems but because Vince wants WWE NOT to be associated with what could happen to wrestlers long term. It's NOT a selfless act but a selfish act to protect his PRODUCT. I'm just looking over decision after decision made and it always comes down to what protects Vince and his WWE product or promotes it. It's about perception. It's a selfish mindset and I think it's a mistake to pretend it's being done for purely selfless reasons.

    I hope Conrad or Foley see this. a great idea i've seen on another channel would be to put time stamps on the screen for the matches or spots Peacock/WWE Network/youtube that is discussed. ❤💯👈 Love the Podcast!

      Very interesting match. This was during a period when I barely watched wrestling, but I would go out of my way to watch Foley's matches during his TNA run. I actually dug the Lockdown match a bit. How did you enjoy the match live?

    • @GeorgeSelak5
      @GeorgeSelak5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@axlbomber It was far better live than it was watching it back on TV, definitely a match where the live experience of the time and match can impact (no pun intended) it’s quality opposed to just seeing it on TV. Still a good match, iconic no doubt. Always wished they could’ve gone at it earlier in their careers at this point, but I’m glad they did the match regardless 👏🏻
