They are awesome in concert. They have so much energy that even if you don't know or don't like their music, they STILL make you wanna lose your shit in the crowd. They're the only band that's done that to me. Impressive.

Aki Pourse even on the album the mixing could be fixed, i think it's the way it was mixed overall, the volume and it doesn't have as much clarity as i think it could. It's almost there though. But the fact it's quiet in the video just...boggles me.

Brian MacCombie You shouldn't have to turn it up as much as you have to just to watch this, and it affects the sound quality and the levels, it's not the same when the volume is that low. I'm a producer, trust me on this. Even boosting the volume of the track after export won't do any good. The producer should've just turned the volume up, and/or whoever edited the video did a shit job and messed up the volume.

When I clicked on "Butcher Babies" I didn't see this coming. I'm happy to see more females in metal bands, ladies are finally realizing that screaming can even be fun when you're NOT between the sheets.

After learning more about the incredible Wendy O and The Plasmatics, I understand the Butcher Babies and support their endeavors entirely. Power to these girls, this band, and their ideals. I love their music. We need more bands like this, more women like this, women who own their sexuality and fuck the gender roles with a cactus. I raise my glass to those who aren't afraid to break the rules to fix society.

well all in my preference in my opinion, as a thrasher they are absolutely my favorite and the heaviest. Most other chicks consider being heavy means doing those growls like they're whitechapel or something. These chicks hit the field with a more angry and dark approach and don't sound like vomit. (in my opinion) and they sing dark shit really good.

I listened at Knotfest Japan and I was impressed
I've been following Butcher Babies since Mr. Slowdeath and I'm SO happy for them. When I saw this CD in Best Buy, I got so excited I almost stole it without thinking xD I think I like them because most girls in bands keep it more pop than punk.. But these girls are doing screamo/ metal with no fear and they sound AMAZING!

I was at Carolina rebellion yesterday waiting to meet jasta and accidentally saw butcher babies. I had never heard them before. I was very surprised, and they blew that place up. Very entertaining and I would check them out again, tons of energy which i love

Seriously, what kind of longevity do these folks think they have? 5-10 years from now, they won't be remembered for having pushed the genre forward, or empowering young women with the idea that they can have agency in a "man's world". Are any of these songs memorable?
All it looks to me is that they've got a great management team, and a big metal label behind them and literally nothing else.
over 90% of all bands ever are forgotten a few years after they arrive. Not every band has to break the mold to be a good listen.

A majority of metal bands are a gimmick band. Hate to break it to you. As far as chick metal bands go.... that is pretty much a gimmick in and of itself. So even if these broads weren't smoking hot they'd still be a gimmick band. Name me a recent metal band that has come out in the last 5 years who has actually been groundbreaking. You'll have a hard time.

I saw them in Chicago at the House of Blues in 2016. They were the second band to play. They energized the crowd in amazing fashion and put on a kick ass performance!
I've heard of them ,but never their music. Decided to check em out. Not my style of metal, but honestly, much better than I expected. Take away the screaming vocals, and they're really great singers. I'll check out more.
people saying this is crap are just elitists looking for attention. I'd be the first to say a band sucks when I think they suck. and I usually don't go for this type of metal. I'm an old Metallica, Slayer, Medageth guy. Exodus, Testament, Kreator, Destruction, Judas Priest, Maiden, Evile, Warbringer, etc... but I randomly came across this band and they aren't THAT bad. I actually like this song.

Those fakey screams are stupidly easy to learn, and when you hear it a capella, (sp) barely above a talking voice... on top of sounding rather silly. They turn the gain up (live and in studio) to intentionally distort the quality, making it sound louder. Also, its very common in alt rock, such as breaking benjamin and staind, as its so weak it can't possibly hurt your singing voice. Hence, why you hear them sustain the "scream" so long: it barely takes any breath, or talent.
And yes, you can scream and sing without resorting to fake screams. It just takes a lot of practice, and maintaining your throat well.

So sick of people thinking that guys only like this band because of the two vocalists being attractive. At the point when i found these guys the only female fronted band that i knew of at that point was Paramore so this was a major eye opener. Their vocal range and the musicianship was what struck me. And yes they are unbelievably attractive but that isn't the only reason people listen to these guys or other bands. You listen to music with your ears not your eyes everything else is just for show

They can sing, scream and growl decently; but they sound exactly alike. It's pretty pointless to have 2 leads who offer nothing that the other can't do. Other than the fact that they have a second hot girl in the band; which means that more people will come to their shows.
