Imagine: I swing open the ballroom doors and enter. A beautiful song is being played on violin somewhere on the other side of the ball. I know who my target is right when i see him. Hes standing in a tall black suit next to a lady, the duchess perhaps. I see his neat hair, it seems ruffled as if his hands went through it recently. I start making my way over to him well aware that eyes are on me from my dramatic entrance. I need to be seen for this plan to work. My red dress is squeezing my chest and stomach but is soft and flowy around my legs. As i walk im careful not to step on it and appear a fool. I feel the cool metal of the dagger pressed into my thigh reminding me what all is resting on this mission. Just as im about to reach him i feel a grip on my wrist. I know who it is by the strong smell of cedar wood and fresh rain. He spins me around and leads me to the dance floor "what do you think you are doing? Unhand me this second!" I scold trying to free my wrist from his iron grasp. "Calm down Siren Jade i just want a dance. Your mission can wait." He said the last part slowly and i hear a slight smirk in his voice. this is Jace. We have hated each other for as long as i can remember. Hes tall with dark blue eyes and curly black hair. Unlike me, i have bright hazel eyes and wavy chestnut brown hair. "Jace" i said in a warning tone. "I have to go please unhand me" we had arrived at the ballroom floor and he put his hands on my waist as we slowly swayed to the music. His touch felt like fire across my body. "Oh but jade, i dont want to. i need something first." He said looking down at me. I twisted his arms around to where with one swift motion i could break them "go f**k yourself Jace" i said in a cold voice. I released him and walked out into a hallway. A few seconds later i saw a person emerge from the room. Jace stormed over to me with a scary look in his eyes. The kindness was no more. He pushed me against a wall and heald my wrists so i couldnt move "Dont you EVER say that to me again. Understand?" He seethed. I flipped him around to where his back was on the wall and i reached to the slit in my dress and grabbed the dagger and put it to his throat. "And dont you ever command me to do something. Your not in charge here" i said in a cocky voice. I could see something change in his eyes but i couldnt tell what. I dropped the dagger from his throat and secured it back on my thigh. In a split second i was pinned back against the wall. I was clearly confused but then i felt his lips crash down on mine sending waves of fire through my skin. Thats when i knew what i saw in his eyes. Need and lust.
