Hi Atish sir. I have a small query. Today 16th of June the Hindu published an article saying CJI will be examining the case of Money Bills being passed as contentious amendments for acts such as PMLA/ AADHAR act etc. What does this mean ? How can the jurisdiction of Judiciary stretch to the powers of Speakers of questioning the Bill if it is a Money Bill or Not
I was completing your Money Bill part from Magna Carta 2023 and today's article coincidentally landed while covering this topic hence the doubt.
Also is a Finance Bill of Budget different from a Financial Bill ? (My say is yes because it only deals with policies implied in the Budget whereas Financial Bill is Money bill + any other Policy ) ? Appropriation Bill is the Money Bill
