My god it took me some time to find this gem of a game again, the music at the beginning really gave me some sweet nostalgia!
They need to release a new sequel, I would be playing the shit out of it!
Sadly the company who made it went bankrupt along with the publisher. All they had to do was polish the brain dead ai, come up with a better story and characters, make it an actual arena fighter that is 2d also, good looking specials and super moves and a super bar and better fighting.

Stage 8 and 9 brought me back. I remember crying from frustration until I won. I cared alot about this game as a 7 yr old. It's been 20 years since then lol

+Edeniobennettsque Gold sucked. For me at least. KIG is right up there with Virtua Fighter. To each their own I suppose.
+Chris Black I think in those early 3D days you had the few games like Tekken or maybe Virtua Fighter that were decent, but a lot of them were just awkward as shit, and being on the N64, ugly and muddy. Save the few decent older 3D fighters, I'd rather play something 2D from that era (or even later, like the Dreamcast) with gorgeous 2D sprites (like Rise of the Robots - lol jk).
they dont understand. The game is amazing, but i think de guy can´t play like it was in N64, maybe is a emulator and he cant do more moves than the basics, i remember attacks really great and i didnt see it in the video... i think is that the reason of the hate, they just dont see the real game yet

I liked this game very much, I know it´s bad lol but the characters, music and stages like me a lot.
I just kept pressing one button lol, but your right, it is good for those very reasons!!

Bro same here i rented this game, just because the other fun games were already taken. So me and my brothers had no choice to get this one. The cover seems nice so we took it. Later we were so dissapointed.
But i must say, the Soundtrack, was nice. And gave me flashbacks. Good enough to come check this game after years.

Man, unreal. I was going down memory lane and trying to remember this fighting game I used to play as a kid. Googled “fighting games for N64” and BOOM. Found it in a list of the worst games ever made hahahah. I’ve been trying to remember the name of this game for like 20 years lmao. God it used to be so much fun. I couldn’t read super fast at 5-6 or however old I was then so all the lore passed me by but I would make my own backstories for my character and everyone I was fighting and like act out scenes in my head during the fights hahahah. Hearing the music again lit my brain up like nothing has in a long time. Thank you for this!

I remember playing this game so much back then. I was a god at this game at one point and unlocked all the characters because it was the only game I was playing lmfao.
Best thing about this game are two thing's: The music is great! Really makes you pumped up when fighting and makes the fights so hype. The other thing is the character designs are not bad tbh, some look really cool and badass like Zorr, Hoe and Gyn, others look interesting like Juei, Gun and Zen. Hopefully one day they can bring this game back to the N64 expansion on Switch and/or possibly make a remastered or remake for it with remixed themes for the characters and maybe some cool power moves like Supers from Street Fighter put into this game. This game had potential to be a great game.

As a kid I loved this game. I remember it being a bit more epic though. Like super insane arenas with a boss fight that always ended with the same guy being super OP. It was fun though. I grinded until I beat it.
That said, I wouldn't hate a remake of what I'm seeing now.

Bought this used. Used to play it with my dad all the time. The secret moves and more advanced combos were hard to complete . Plus no real internet at the time meant those combos and secret moves had to be learned by mistake.

When fighting GYN I typically lure him to a ledge and just kick him off. Dont have to deal with his bullshit.
New cheat for Dual Heroes:
If you beat Story Mode with three or more rounds in any mode WITHOUT losing any round (if you get a draw it doesn't count as a lose) you can see at the end of credits how the fighter you chose takes his/her helmet off

I think the reason people hate this game is because all the moves and "tips" aren't in the manual. But I figured them all for each character, and its really fun. Try playing Tekken (well known fighting game with a great reputation) but only punch and kick without doing a combo... Not fun huh?
So much memories... I remember that I tried so hard to get to the final stages and been beaten by geezor a few times and even crying lol.
And when finishing the story I couldn’t save bc it required a memory card for the n64 which was too hard to find or was expensive. Later I found out I could download it for pc and try it once more (doing combos was quite easier haha) and unlocking the “hidden” characters was so amazing. I was DYING to play as GYN. This game was a jewel; still don’t know why so much hate to it. Still got the n64 and the game but no controller :(
