Taeyang was on a variety show called I live alone which shows celebrities' daily lives, and he basically lived like a grandpa, he goes on walks, spends a lot of time gardening, wears grandpa pajamas and he had white hair at the time...
Bigbang are so wierd but lovely and they're so humble esp g dragon like he's so big in korea like really big he's called the celebrity of celebrities there, There is a korean popular tv show yesterday who discussed how he is the god of music in korea and everybody is excited for him to be back from military in few days ,but even with his statu he bows 90 degree to everybody even his juniord and nobody do that, other artists aren't in his level and don't bow.
They call Taeyang Grandpa because he's the mother hen of the group (They commonly joke that GD is the Dad, Taeyang is the mom and TOP is either the drunk grandpa or the baby )
But Also because he has grandpa like hobbies, a lot of it came from a show he did called 'i live alone' when he had white hair, lived in checked pajamas, gardened, and groaned about aching bones.
Also the contributor of maximum dad jokes.
as an addition if you watch a recent variety show with only YB he go made fun of as a grandpa because of his whit hair and his general lifestyle

Thanks for the reaction..just yesterday korean media said that GDRAGON is the number 1 idol who earn most from royalties with 173 song under his belt,he earn more than 1 million dollars a year while in hiatus..a few months ago he earn million dollars from his art exhibit.aside from that his fashion label PEACeMINUSONE is always soldout in a minute..that the king for you earning million while in military.. media cited him as King of kpop,God of music and legend idol....the kings power still relevant while on hiatus..and everyone is excited for his comeback on the 26th..

Yeah it didn't really show why they are the kings of kpop. Like the fact that modern day kpop is highly influenced by them. From idols writing songs and producing for themselves, before them idols were basically puppets, or their seamles genre bending music, or making the first customized lightstick in kpop and so much more

Taeyang is called the grandpa because of the grandpa pyjamas he wears also because of how he buy foods to the fans, it's like when u visit ur grandma and she makes all the food for u lol he buy and distribute food for fans in the airport for example or when they wait for to see him somewhere.

Wow! I'm behind you all the way, they have been looked at in the wrong light by the media and others since they started, at first it was they are too ugly and to short to ever make it in the Kpop industry. They worked so hard because of all the criticism they had got in the beginning and all of them were over worked and had been hospitalized for exhaustion they ended up taking a bit of time off and came back and blew the doors off of the kpop world and changed many of the standards for new groups.. the media have tried so many ways throughout the years, it's kinda hard to believe anything they say bad about Big Bang because they have pushed a bad narrative for so long against them.. They have tried many ways and many things including calling Daesung a murderer, it's just insulting now. V.I.P. until whenever.. 5 members forever!!
Amanda Miller Thank you, I appreciate the back up, Ive been doing my hardest to keep my cool with anything Bigbang related because i’ve been VIP for 13 years, they’re the reason I became a multifan kpopper and I wouldn’t change it for the world no matter what anyone says about them. It deeply hurts me knowing how mentally & physically troubled Sunbae Seungri is feeling right now with unnecessary treatment since the whole thing started, if they had any true tangible evdience he haven’t been in jail already but yet all their doing is fishing around believing any the corrupt media, haters and Antis are saying about them just so they don’t have to face the embarrassment of dropping the case and being made to publicly apologize for the misleading treatment of Seungri
I understand they keep putting his name with the chat guys and he didn't get involved in that but they kept showing his name with the others and and that's how they started the bad narrative also the guy at the club that called the club out is not being truthful and has changed his story a few times and some people are coming out saying he was actually the one harassing women at the club and it's not the first time he has done it.. so I definitely think people should hold out, Seungri has been intaragated so many times and for so long and they still haven't found anything to stick.. it's crazy, now they are trying to get him for gambling in the states. Lol they just fly from one thing to the next and are like, "he has got to have committed and actual crime", cause they have hyped it so much and come to nothing but, he didn't have a permit for food in one of his clubs and embezzling bits of money which I believe was his business partner Yoo, or whatever his name is. But everything else has been dead ends and they don't know how to stop. You know cause they have already dug the whole so deep.. If you don't watch this guy he helps you understand both sides of what you hear and he can put it into court context because he is a lawyer and knows the system so here is this to help keep calm and get the facts straight..

"Grandpa" that's just recently people started giving him that nickname. It's actually started when he went on a show called "i live alone" where they actually visited his home. On that show he has the habits of a grandpa, just how he is at home when he spends time alone.
