As a late 90s kid, having grown up in the early 00s, this type of music will forever be deeply tied to my soul. Many people from other generations may find it "cringy", and that's ok, because in a way it is, but it is also the core aspect that makes it so personal to "us" because it is a type of sound filled to the brim with emotions and lets us bring out our inner (and repressed) child. Only thing that matters is how much it sells/how many likes per view it gets. The OG song is significantly more popular than the cover. The band can only do covers well. If they tried to release their own music it wouldn't get popular so they have to do covers to gain traction. I just really shows how bad their overall band is compared to others.

@@renw9876 You can tell someone a certain song is better based off statistics alone. Everybody has different tastes but that doesn't change the actual value of the song itself. Only thing that matters is how much it sells/how many likes per view it gets. The OG song is significantly more popular than the cover. The band can only do covers well. If they tried to release their own music it wouldn't get popular so they have to do covers to gain traction. I just really shows how bad their overall band is compared to others.
