In the vast digital savannah of TH-cam, we find a remarkable comment from none other than the TH-cam company itself. It appears that this corporate entity is attempting a rather fascinating feat - disguising itself as a humble human, blending in with the commenters, as if it were a rare chameleon among its prey. Behold, as TH-cam, in its peculiar bid for engagement, steps onto the stage of this comment section. The corporate entity adopts a tone of friendly camaraderie, attempting to establish a connection with its fellow netizens. We observe the TH-cam commenters react with a mix of surprise and amusement. They are akin to the curious meerkats, standing upright and peering intently at this unusual interloper, wondering if it truly possesses the spirit of a human being. As the TH-cam comment, disguised as a human, continues its interactions, it is a moment of profound intrigue in the online wilderness. Will this corporate entity successfully integrate into the digital ecosystem, or will the commenters eventually discern its true identity, as a jaguar might reveal itself amidst the dense Amazonian undergrowth? Only time will unveil the outcome of this peculiar experiment in the captivating realm of TH-cam comments, where the line between corporation and individual becomes blurred, much like the intricate dance of predator and prey in the natural world.

Thank you for making these videos Maya, they have given me a different view of many different animals and the issues that affect them. I love the fact that Stompy lives at Alveus being an Australian.
It's so cool seeing Stompy just chilling out. Whenever I see emus in the wild or on farms they usually do melodramatic derpy surprise reactions, which are really funny but it's nice to see this other side of emu personalities.
I think it's so funny for the people to say release them, so they're happy in the wild, as if I'm not watching a dinosaur have the time of his life playing in a water pad 😂
As an Australian this terrifies me. If you attempt to treat any wild Emu like Stompy you will lose an eye. The might of the Emu empire was even too strong for our defence force.
Wild Emu are not inherently aggressive. An Emu is going to run from you, not confront you, however they are very protective of their young. You can count the total number of reported Emu attacks on one hand, meanwhile Cassowary attack a couple hundred people each year.

My question is do you ever see Alveus doing things in public? This could be like bringing ambassadors to schools to teach children about conservation (like many zoos seem to) or even one day when the actual campus becomes much larger opening some sort of facilities tour to the public? Keep up the great work, you and what you’ve been able to create is so inspiring!!!
I think maya talked about opening Alveus to public. Its hard because she is a big streamer and there are so many weirdos on the internet so its better to keep it private.
i have always loved animals and have been following you for a really long time and you are such a huge inspiration to me. i really hope one day i can change the world for animals like you have with alveus
Question: Would you do another fundraising stream with the same "stakes" as you did with the 500k one? Bonus question! How big of an impact did the 500k do for Alveus? / was it worth it?
Currently studying ecology and biodiversity and marketing in uni I’m first year hopefully will survive, might do post grad as well!! I hope I can make a difference once I’ve studied and started working with conservation organizations
Weird comment but I am reading a series, children of time, and I this video hits different after reading most of it. Long story short it is a space scifi that is like the planet of the apes but instead its jumping spiders (in the first book), and the way the different animals articulate their feelings made me appreciate this type of content so much more. The way maya interacts with these animals makes me believe she has a different kind of empathy that is lacking in the rest of us. Being able to learn different species way of communicating is extremely complex and while maya still understands she doesn't know everything, she has a very inspiring way of working through communication barriers. TLDR I think if aliens land within 3000 miles of her I vote she is our ambassador. P.S. You should name noodle, Bianca (reference to children of time)
I love animals, and I wish I had more opportunities to experience them. It's part of why I decided to start horse riding lessons during high school. My goodness, Stompy is so cool taking a bath. By the way, it's good to see you raise awareness about alternative medicines that predate against animals, putting them on risk.
Yooo that would be awesome if you abd Tpain made a video of going around Alveus. He could bring his family or something it would be wholesome as Edit: also the humor potential for random overuse of autotune for any conversation with the animals would be huge
"A lot of people want me to just open the gates." *glances at open gate. That was so funny. What you do is sincerely important. Pangolins are my all time favorite animal! I know they're almost impossible to care for in captivity, especially abroad, but boy would I fly to Alveus TODAY if you had one.
I love how much Stompy loves the water, reminds me of my dog who almost transforms in to the happiest version of himself the instant he can splash around
Hey @maya. I own a Congo African Grey Parrot, and I know that he keeps his feathers clean with a dandruff or powder, while also preening them. Does Stompy preen, and what do the keratin sheaths on the feathers look like? Do the feathers form differently than parrot feathers? Lastly, do you have to preen Stompy's head like lovebirds do in a pair or like people preen their pets head feathers?
Have you ever asked jerma to check out alveus? I think he'd love it. Also I think Gaia would be a good nickname for noodle, its a greek godess and it translates to earth mother

The moment that Prezoh reacted to knocking the lamp over, TH-cam kicked over to an ad, and the timing could not have been more perfect.
Stompy is living his lil happy big wet chicken life. 💯
Video idea, build stompy a mini water park since he really seems to enjoy the water
