As a triplet myself who moved away from my other two siblings, as well as my older sister from my hometown, it really comforts me to watch the Sturniolo’s. Congratulations on the pod guys!!! The hard work has paid off!
I like how they mention being sober around people that aren’t and I relate to them a lot with that. I’m glad that I have siblings that believe the same things I do and I’m happy that I’m sober as a teenager. Peer pressure is awful and I’m glad I don’t really have to deal with that and if I do I automatically say no always.
Being a twin myself and hearing nick say that he hates being treated like the they’re the same person was so comforting. No one ever understands what I mean by that and hearing them saying that made me feel so understood
Nick is absolutely right when he said that "90% of the activities are more fun with someone." As an only child it can sometimes feel isolating. I love that these three has a built-in friendship and a strong unbreakable bond they have together. I’m so proud of them. It's sad to hear that triplets and twins aren't seen as normal humans sometimes. It should not be seen as a freak show, but there are a lot of myths about it (like the "if you get hit will your triplet feel it?" thing) and sometimes social media doesn't help. It's awsome that you opened yourselves to the rest of the world about your experience as siblings in general and maybe things will change. This was really entertaining and congrats!

I'm an identical twin and I wish I was kidding when I say this but some people would tell my sister to her face that the way they knew us apart was because she was the heavier twin. Still to this day I find it hard to be considered a separate human than my sister.
As an identical twin so much of what they’re saying resonates with me too! Especially constant comparison, always having an almost automatic friend, and the having someone there to keep you in check.

As an only child listening to this, I feel like I have missed out on so much fun things in my childhood just because I didn’t have any siblings. I just find it so sad because I will never understand what it feels like having that relation to anyone, and knowing I will never have it with anyone either. I have an older brother (he is technically my half brother but I don’t think of him that way) and we have an age gap so we were closer when I was little but we drifted apart. I also have a younger step sister that I thought of has my actual sister even though she probably didn’t think of me like that but we also drifted apart. It really does feel like I’m an only child. So now siblings whether it be in real life or on a show is so important to me. That’s why I love the Sturniolo triplets and their relationship. They mean so much to me because everyday of my life I wish I had that type of relationship with my siblings.

At 13:47 I can relate so much to playing alone as an only child, it is very bittersweet as at most times you feel really alone, I had so many board games etc but no one to play them with😭 also relate so much at this part 20:09 most people my age either smoke, drink, or vape etc, like everywhere I go there’s atleast one person who does one of those things and as soon as they notice another teen they try to show it off 😭

One thing I also find sad about being an only child is my parents always tell me “go out more” “ask your friends to come over” “stop getting upset when people touch your stuff” I find it extremely hard to get over these things because I had basically nobody to talk to as a child except my parents. I never had another child in the house it was always the 3 of us my mum, my dad and me so I’ve learnt to get over things on my own. Like I don’t show my feeling to people because I’ve never had a sibling to hide secrets with, gossip with and socialise with so I’ve basically learnt to do everything on my own and I’m the one that’s always available, like people always say “oh I’m going out with my sister” “I’m playing with my brother” so I just kinda have to sit there and soak it all in. (For people who have read this thank you for letting me vent)
omg yes the “always being the one available” thing is so real!! i always ask my friends “can you go out” “can we call” and it’s so hard to grasp when they say “no i’m with my family/siblings” so often cause i never experienced constantly having someone to hang with

the way the describe only children is so real. i'm an only child so i actually have a say in this but the pressure of everything and i mean everything it ranges to chores, peer pressure, home alone, safety and so much more and they touched on all of that. that makes me feel included in a way. i'm genuinely happy they talked about that.

as a twin, this podcast really hit a soft spot within myself. especially the whole comparison topic and maintaining your own sense of individuality. it’s something that has taken a toll on me throughout my entire life and hearing people talk about it grounded me back into reality and reminded me that that in itself is a real struggle that other people think about and it isn’t just some fictional hypothetical that is completely out of reach. i think it’s very veryyy important to establish yourself as a person when being a twin, triplet, etc. it’s very easy to get lost inside stranger’s perceptions of you and your siblings personas and it can be difficult to separate yourself from such caricatures that are attached to you at such a young age. i appreciated that little segment so much, i really wished it was talked about more
as someone who lost their twin at a young age, watching this was very emotional. knowing that i lost out on having a built in best friend and someone to argue but ultimately still love is heartbreaking. i will continue to live vicariously through you guys. i love how real you are in this podcast and keep up the great work!

Only child here. I used to be that only child that would brag about being alone because I saw the majority of my friends complaining about having siblings. I learned to enjoy being alone and didn't feel lonely at all. I started really missing not having that person that's always by your side and that you can always count on for having fun or getting support only in recent years. I realised the only reason I never feel lonely is because I've actually always been, and you can't notice something that's there since you can remember. This got a bit dark but yeah, you guys have a wonderful relationship and have made me wish I had a twin. Love you and congratulations for the podcast!

I am not an only child, but I have been for a solid 12 years. My parents had a messy divorce when I was young, and i was a very lonely kid. I remember it was hard on me during covid because my mother would be gone for days because of work, and I would be stuck home. We didn’t have a good relationship at the time and it was kind of hard on me because I was still pretty young, about 10-11 years old. I feel like that’s part of the reason why I would get so close to friends because I would crave a person that would be there for me all the time. Sadly, I would get hurt because those people would leave me, and I thought of them as important to me as siblings. Now I got older, and I have a couple of friends that stuck with me through childhood, and I really appreciate them because they really stuck around. It’s really nice that these three have such a great bond, and it makes me happy to listen to this. I hope to be there always for my brother, so that he always has someone to go to when he feels like he has no one. Love these guys

So now siblings whether it be in real life or on a show is so important to me. That’s why I love the Sturniolo triplets and their relationship. They mean so much to me because everyday of my life I wish I had that type of relationship with my siblings.

One thing I also find sad about being an only child is my parents always tell me “go out more” “ask your friends to come over” “stop getting upset when people touch your stuff” I find it extremely hard to get over these things because I had basically nobody to talk to as a child except my parents. I never had another child in the house it was always the 3 of us my mum, my dad and me so I’ve learnt to get over things on my own. Like I don’t show my feeling to people because I’ve never had a sibling to hide secrets with, gossip with and socialise with so I’ve basically learnt to do everything on my own and I’m the one that’s always available, like people always say “oh I’m going out with my sister” “I’m playing with my brother” so I just kinda have to sit there and soak it all in. (For people who have read this thank you for letting me vent)
omg yes the “always being the one available” thing is so real!! i always ask my friends “can you go out” “can we call” and it’s so hard to grasp when they say “no i’m with my family/siblings” so often cause i never experienced constantly having someone to hang with

the way the describe only children is so real. i'm an only child so i actually have a say in this but the pressure of everything and i mean everything it ranges to chores, peer pressure, home alone, safety and so much more and they touched on all of that. that makes me feel included in a way. i'm genuinely happy they talked about that.

I’m usually not a podcast kind of person, but I can actually see myself watching this podcast and I’m so excited for more episodes
as a twin, this podcast really hit a soft spot within myself. especially the whole comparison topic and maintaining your own sense of individuality. it’s something that has taken a toll on me throughout my entire life and hearing people talk about it grounded me back into reality and reminded me that that in itself is a real struggle that other people think about and it isn’t just some fictional hypothetical that is completely out of reach. i think it’s very veryyy important to establish yourself as a person when being a twin, triplet, etc. it’s very easy to get lost inside stranger’s perceptions of you and your siblings personas and it can be difficult to separate yourself from such caricatures that are attached to you at such a young age. i appreciated that little segment so much, i really wished it was talked about more

as someone who lost their twin at a young age, watching this was very emotional. knowing that i lost out on having a built in best friend and someone to argue but ultimately still love is heartbreaking. i will continue to live vicariously through you guys. i love how real you are in this podcast and keep up the great work!

Only child here. I used to be that only child that would brag about being alone because I saw the majority of my friends complaining about having siblings. I learned to enjoy being alone and didn't feel lonely at all. I started really missing not having that person that's always by your side and that you can always count on for having fun or getting support only in recent years. I realised the only reason I never feel lonely is because I've actually always been, and you can't notice something that's there since you can remember. This got a bit dark but yeah, you guys have a wonderful relationship and have made me wish I had a twin. Love you and congratulations for the podcast!

I relate so hard with 13:27, as someone who has 8 biological siblings i never have to worry about friends in school, if im gonna have someone to play games with, if im going to walk home alone etc. and things never got boring, nighttime shenanigans and overall having 8 other people who have the same humor as you.

thank you guys for talking abt how hard it is to be an only child. ppl make fun of me for wanting a sibling but bro it’s so hard to do what i wanna do and be who i wanna be by myself, especially with my parents who don’t love and support me it’s insanely lonely. like exact scenario you said happened to me every day, don’t make plans w friends, come home, be by myself , do hw, played a game by myself and went to bed to do it again the next day. i’m so glad u guys see that and notice that, it’s so hard.
I am not an only child, but I have been for a solid 12 years. My parents had a messy divorce when I was young, and i was a very lonely kid. I remember it was hard on me during covid because my mother would be gone for days because of work, and I would be stuck home. We didn’t have a good relationship at the time and it was kind of hard on me because I was still pretty young, about 10-11 years old. I feel like that’s part of the reason why I would get so close to friends because I would crave a person that would be there for me all the time. Sadly, I would get hurt because those people would leave me, and I thought of them as important to me as siblings. Now I got older, and I have a couple of friends that stuck with me through childhood, and I really appreciate them because they really stuck around. It’s really nice that these three have such a great bond, and it makes me happy to listen to this. I hope to be there always for my brother, so that he always has someone to go to when he feels like he has no one. Love these guys
