- Joining the 125cc scooter race now is TVS, with its newly launched scooter, the NTorq. And boy did it impress us with its youthful character during our first ride experience. But then the first ride was only limited to a track. Let's find out then if the torquey scooter is equally fun in the real world while fulfilling the primary needs expected of a scooter. And can it beat the snazzy Honda Grazia as the go-to scooter for the young hearted?

I just took a test ride of ntorq and to my shock it is really a smooth scooter. Liked it very much.

I booked and she is coming home on Aug17
I am driving it. It is awesome.
I test rode ntorq, Grazia and burgman yesterday.
My observations:
Ntorq feels more fun and agile to ride. I liked the seating and handle position, but may be that's just me. The engine sound is just wow, and enhances the overall ride experience. The showroom guys had loosened the disc brake, so couldn't quite test it's stopping power. Suspension was good too.
Grazia is pretty much feels like an activa, except that it's better looking, faster, has better stopping power and has better suspension. If you are a Honda fan, this is currently the best scooter Honda has got to offer. Grazia lacks uniqueness, in my opinion.
Burgman is a giant-ass. It's handle felt a lot less maneuverable. My forearms got fatigued riding it for 5 minutes in narrow streets. It's seat is most comfortable. It's legroom is class leading. If you ride on highways frequently, this is the bike to buy. It's initial pick up is lesser than the other two.
I booked Ntorq then. Yellow color.
Grazia and Ntorq feel quite similarly matched in terms of performance. I chose Ntorq because:

I am tired of seeing activa's everywhere.
Well done TVS to beat Honda of Japan in design for the Indian market.

It's not everywhere BMW helps tvs and the akula concept was purely tvs, what BMW helped is with engine and with tvs's fit and finish, my rtr200 has done 21000 Kms and the fit and finish is still strong

@@AmritsarTourister bro tvs engine is better than Honda. As it has more high quality piston in New rtr and ntorq with nanao coated piston.. So don't have to worry about its engine and tvs offers 5 year Warrenty without any extra payment so that proves how better and confident tvs is with there products. Also it's tvs not Bajaj. Tvs make spare parts for cars. And bikes in international level..

The TVS Ntorq is light years ahead of the Grazia in all the departments . Feels so proud of TVS bringing in this beauty. Honda you cannot fool the indian customers anymore by adding more g's with outdated technology and designs ( with special refernace to Honda Activa ) hats off to you TVS.

Ntorq Pros and cons as an owner:
Pros :
1. Digital display tells you your service is due.
2. It has the same plastic engine oil filter same installed in Apache. (TVS Racing)
3. Stable at corners and high speed.
4. Looks better than the competition.
5. 3 valve engine is superb.
CONS :
1. Bluetooth gets disconnected even after short rides (15 kms). service guys have no idea how to fix. No training given by TVS.
2. External fuel tank intake is not proper. I always have a petrol spill.
3. Side stall length could had been longer. it sticks to my left heels in traffic.
4. I did not get a service manual from showroom and also does not have the accessories for Ntorq available.
5. The protective panels on the exhaust make vibrations when I rev it hard. service guys have no idea how to fix.

Go to settings in ur phone...open ntorq app.. open the option n switch off battery saving mode fr this app...ur Bluetooth connectivity doesn't get disconnected until u switch of the engine

TVS is killing the market in each very category & segment of intial 2 wheel vehicles... Yes they will surely comes with bigger & better machines in future very soon...
proud owner of TVS NTorq, in just 6 days of ownership i felt in love with its exhaust note. TVS really did hard work on this scooter, everything looks fresh from its tyres to instrument console all designed for this scooter only not a single thing coppied from its previous scooter, if you stripp naked Suzuki burgman you will find Access 125, if you strip naked Grazia you will find Activa 125, but this is not in case of TVS everything is designed from scratch.
How effective are those halogen headlights at night?
I think honda is now taking its name for granted and its products is now about cosmetic changes here n there whereas cos like tvs is giving us much more in features and in physical form that we indians should appreciate...just imagine no telescopic suspension in honda activa 2018...it takes guts to do that ....suzuki. with its access and street burgman with jupiter classic n N torq will be a huge challenge to activa...the name activa is just not enough now...im glad to see you two doing this comparison in all aspect..thumbs up to u...n the zignition team

Good review, People those who have confuse about which one have to select for them it is very good, I like to see more video like this.
I chose the grazia just because its a Honda and i dont regret a bit. its butter smooth engine and a very linear power delivery is just perfect for a city like bangalore. and more over grazia can be used by anybody in the family and wont look odd, Ntorq suits the yonger crowd better. grazia makes me feel elegant and classy but tvs had better package, more fun to ride and grt VFM. but still would prefer a Honda over the TVS any day.

2 minutes of silence for Grazia owners
After watching you very good comparison i sold my grazia which was delivering 47kmpl in city....now by the grace of the hair guy in the video i brought a Tvs Ntorq 125...and you know my ntorq run 102km on 5 litres of petrol.... What's the poin now...even tvs service centre told me that ntorq will deliver about 35 kmpl after few months..shit
Great, tvs brings their fresh piece of technology too us. Unlike Honda selling a decades ago scooter again and again.

Hello zigwheels..I don't know whether my comment will come in notice..but I just wanted to say that tvs missed the choke thing in this scooty as it helps a lot during less fuel..!
It has an auto choke. Even many expensive bikes are equipped with autochoke. The choke will turn off automatically after attaining a specific engine temperature.
This is one of the best comparisons I've seen in a long while! Kudos to Karthik & PD. I hope this way of comparison is carried over to cars and bikes as well!

what about durability? I would still select honda's reliability and durability over tvs so that i don't have to get in trouble on the roads later. Also Hondas normally have a better second market.
