    My Grandfather served in The First Special Service Force (The Black Devil's). He spoke of Tommy Prince who served in the FSSF as well. He said Mr Prince was remarkable. He was one of the best.

    I cant describe how ashamed I feel to be canadian, and how they where treated after there stellar service. Hats off to all indigenous who have served and are serving.

    My uncle, volunteered for the FSSF "Black Devil's". Sgt. George Robinson, 6-2. KIA'd Feb. 18/44.

    If only we indigenous people got more recognition in ww2 as the rest of the people who took part in it but although they were brothers in arms in the end and I’ll never forget it, and the rest of the world too.:)

    Its unfortunate that even today racist systems and legislation is in place to keep indigenous people down. Those Veterans came home from the war where they were decorated heroes, only to find that in Canada they were just "indians" so shameful.
