I made a pledge to attend every home league game ,something i have never managed. With the last season ever at the grand old lady ive romanticized it . I'm doing it dry because i only drank sweet tea back in the 70's . I've ticked other boxes like going in the gwladys again for the last time ,and Saturday I purposefully took a route that let me take in the walk through stankey park . It felt lovely reliving my childhood. For the 2nd time this season I left goodison ashamed . Bournemouth and now Brentford . Dyche has proved to be a blagger and I'm praying the friedkins finalise the takeover this week and bring their own man with them and bin bag dyche by the time he stirs his first cup of tea . Clear his desk and take his Thatcher photos with him
PS , dyche has shackled the team with his lack of ability .last season the team proved well capable of surviving and should have been let off the leash and encouraged to go for it and express themselves . That's what footy is all about ,building camaraderie and birthing a bond and belief in a set of guys who despite adversity turn it around and hayho win a cup or finish top half proving they can go on further with a few good signings. Dyche would have been sacked after 4 months without a win last season but for the circumstances at the club . I hope we get lee carsley, he will inspire players to improve and to arrive here to try and establish themselves in a grand old team for a period of exciting progressive footy and hopefully success. We deserve it .COYB
Completely agree, mate. This season shouldn't have been a particularly tough gig - just build on the good finish to last season and let the more creative players loose. The signing of O'Brien is looking a massive misstep to with every game that Mykolenko stinks the gaff out. Would have been better lumping it on a full back. After Foxy mentioned Moyes for DoF I've been thinking him and Carsley could be great.
