    Typical...we test something for 4 months to give it a run in, and then they change the policy the week we release a video on it!
    It worked perfectly...until...
    *** PLEASE NOTE: Tiekom has updated its policy and now has a fair use policy of 18GB/month outside of Spain, and 300GB/month inside of Spain***

      I was just ready to send you a message confirming that the 300gb SIM works just in Spain 😅. You tried guys. Next test it for 3 months😂.

    Tiekom have unfortunately stopped this service as of this month. We've been using it all over Europe for the past 8 months, but now back to buying local sims which is a real shame. We had an email from them saying that 300gb/month is only available within spain. Only 18GB in the rest of the EU. :(

    • @FreedomStrider
      @FreedomStrider  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it was working fine until a week ago, then we thought we were just in a patchy spot so we didn't notice. Tiekom didn't send us an email, such a shame, it really was lovely and stress free 😞

      I think you might be stuck with Starlink, unless you can negotiate a custom plan with a signal provider (though that would be very expensive still).

  • @Albert_206
    @Albert_206 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is based on 4G I suppose? Also, if you count two other SIM cards for your phones I wonder if Starlink isn’t a better option?

    • @FreedomStrider
      @FreedomStrider  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes this is on 4G. Starling is the upcoming option, still very expensive for most but it's hopefully going to get cheaper 🤞

    • @Albert_206
      @Albert_206 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FreedomStrider yes it is expensive, but then again here (Netherlands) un unlimited data contract is somewhere between €45 - 50 euro with a data limit set to average 25 Gb across the border adding my mobile phone to it comes to nearly €70 euro per month. For myself I’ll take the hurtle of the initial costs and give it a try.

    • @FreedomStrider
      @FreedomStrider  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Costs across Europe are so different so people's budgets are as well. Your situation seems to make a jump into Starlink more worth it as your expenses seem high already, in this category. For us, personally, mobile internet has been no more than £25/m (before tiekom). Plus, we are waiting for Starlink to iron out its kinks before committing to it 😜
