I have two, pretty rough shape. Used to use them several years ago in my lawn care business. Aeration and snow throwing. I actually loaded that old thing on a trailer and did something like 15 drives!
I happen to have an emaculate three point hitch with pins and chains still attached. I also have the crossbar that joins the two drawbars for a trailer hitch ball. Very rare!!!
@@Chooman69 it never had a mowing deck. Because my parents used it for tobacco farming 3 acres. It has 3 point hitch plow, disc, cultivator and grader blade. For the last 30 years we have started it with a rope. Still runs good, I want to restore it someday
Beautiful restorations! I particularly like the hood @ 09:28. I have a '76 SS16 Twin, that with a nose cone that was original flat black, along with a black lower section. I know a purist would expect it to be restored in the original color, but I really like the lower grille in yellow with the yellow front and black stripe. That looks really good.
love the sound effects buddy watch out 500 is gunnin for ya LOL great piece brother i loved it i really enjoy your passion for this matt tony and randy oh and dave and steve also :)
Good lookin' machines!! I was just at a show last week that had about 5 nice ones for sale, all about $200 each. I got a little video of some of them!!☺
So on these ST hoods, mine was unbroken until I broke it. to this day I am still sad I broke it, I use some zip ties & a bungee cord to hold it down. I thought about finding a metal version of that cone, if someone made a metal version I’m sure you’d make a ton of $ on it if you sold em for $100 just that fiberglass part of the hood as metal.
The model and serial number is usually on the shifter plate in front of or behind the shifter between your legs. The shifter plate (if it were there) would show you the gear pattern. If it is a hydro, again on the hydro plate in same place. If it's not there, I would need to see the front grill and hood to tell ya.
The aztec gold front end grill started in 1973 and went up to around 76 or 77. There is a model number next to the shifter if it is still there. Starts with 917. google it and you will find it.
I need that hood!!,I have the bottom part.Someone gave me an early 60s hood, but its not the right one.You can see it on one of my garden videos. What a great find you have.I,ve had it 6 years now ($50 bucks) and yesterday the carb started dumping gas from the main jet,Tried cleaning it but it didn't help,it needs a kit.It says Walbro 3001 Pulsajet on the fuel pump,do you know where I can find one?,A carb kit I mean.Thanks.
can someone pass along the blue color code. My 71 Super 14 has the wheel covers n all. I plan on this winter a complete tear down. It gets used weekly and has been for many years. The paint is faded but I keep it babied like a real baby. I did swap out the original seat base with a modern tractor seat because I've had several back surgeries but plan on having the original one recovered and ready if it goes to a show but it mowes so sweet I can't park it as a show piece.
There is no public consensus on the code. Collectors take a good example from the axle or other nonfaded part to get the number. From a rattle can the 2 most popular are the GM Pontiac blue which is obviously the blue version and rustoleum hammer Verde green which has the more green version of "jade mist".
I also have a complete hood like the gold one if someone would throw out an offer I could crate and hip it . I'll crate it for the buying price but buyer pays shipping. The tractor it's on gets used as a utility puller with a set of solid forklift tires I put on the back and a clone Honda engine. Being its so far from original I'd let the good hood go and put a carrying rack over the engine.
10:05 what types of paints I'm 13 i bought a st12 with a snow plow to do driveways from my uncle he has w backyard full of these tractors and i need to restore it with him in they spring when it warms up so we can paint it thanks ~Zach
I just got a Suburban 12hp today. It has the same grille as the blue tractor in the video but the hood has six openings on each side like the hood at the end of the video. It's got 6? or 8? speed transmission. How can I tell what year it is ??..It's in rough condition, but complete with snowplow...any help is appreciated.....thank you.
What paint code or specific red color did you use on the 10xl? I have a 1972 custom 8e that I want to get as close to original as possible. Were those rattle can jobs? If so that is very impressive, I'm not to good with the can paint
I’ve got an ST16 & it’s great. The old engine runs just not on a carburetor rn, the ethanol killed the fuel system. Hope you only put Ethonol gas in it.
Hey I have what I think is a 1969 sears hydo trac 12. It needs new floats but I can't seem to find any parts. It's in good shape Where can I get parts for it?
I'm thinking about selling my 1969 sears hydro trac 12..It has all most no rust..There is just a little rust on the bottom of the deck. needs some carb work.It does run and drive. Do you happen to know how much I could sell it for?
Somewhere I read that the serial number tells you the year but don’t know for sure. Either the first or last digit is the year. In this example it is the first digit: 4266E Made the 266th day of 1974 which would be September 12. The "E" tells you which line, shift, or plant built it. A better way is to google the model number or give me the 917 number and I can look it up for you.
1/6/14 -20 Degrees in the land of cheese Tractors are my latest gratest fun. cool tractors will check out more .Like my Gilson tractor page on facebook and feel free to post club information, pic ,projects or what ever PEACE.
Just found a nose cone a few weeks ago in pristine condition for 135.00. It was on a shelf in the old man's shed since 1985 or so he says. Only thing missing were the metal studs to bolt to the hood but I have those. It was a little nerve racking bolting it up to my hood thought for sure my luck I'd crack it but it was all good.
hello, i have a 67 hydro-trac and mine is in pretty rough condition i can send you pitures if you give me your e mail. also i got mine and it was in pieces and i really dont know how to put it together so could you please give me your email so when i run into problems you could help me? also does yours have a cigarette lighter? cuz mine does haha
Hey. I have a 1969 sears hydro-trac 12 in fair shape I have every thing for the mower I think other then the the sears thing on the steering wheel. 3 out of the for of the tires still hold air. fuel tank is still good.. the engine runs but needs carb work. the engine is off the mower. Thinking about selling it. Make me an offer.

Love those old suburbans. I've got two. Wish someone had the formula for the right shade of blue.
There are some people that say that the color is Verde green, I agree. It says it's green but it looks blue. And on mine, it looks original.
I would of loved to see there collection, sounds like the have a HUGE collection!
LOL You're so funny, Choo!! Great video!!

yes, it did have an onan on it. what all attachments were available for the rear plate?
I need help! My suburban 12 shredded all its belts and I don't know how to re-route. Could you photograph the proper installation? Thanks!
I have a 1978 Sears Hydrodrive 18 horse, I need to find out how to hook up the silinoid. I found iti n a field and Im tryin to get it goin.

@jjk64581970 if it's white it is always international harvester white.
we use that on all white stuff
@NomaDairy It was a fine collection
please tell me they run those tractors
@transammike I hear ya buddy. The more the better.
Beautiful, old machines. I hate the beer. For some reason, Sears garden equipment and Chrysler outboards just look good.
I think it's the old colors they painted this stuff with.
Last year for the SS before the 16/6 Twin came out.
Is there a paint code or color for this tractor? I hv one I'm restoring

Careful with that. 3800 is max on those motors. Will be interesting
I have a ss15 it runs needs battery and tires if any interest
Where are you located? If you're anywhere near Pittsburgh, I'd love to give it a home!
What’s the blue color yours using?
Some use DUPLICOLOR BGM0539 PERFECT MATCH TOUCH-UP PAINT LIGHT BLUE and others are using rust oleum verde green hammered
@@Chooman69 I’ve seen the rust oleum hammered green but can’t find it anywhere
If 917.x is in front of 25950 and you have a SS Twin with an Onan, I show it is a 1976 SS16
T155 is now known as BGM0539
@Chooman69
thats the spirit :)
whats that first song?
@Searsnut11 LOL, not these two tractors
@susanloveshuskies Do you think they figured out I'm nuts yet?
@carnivore10 Thanks
there nice but I wouldn't wanna drive em now. I left original paint on mine so I don't feel like i'm on eggshells around em.
