Tardy to the party, but I want to thank you for this video. Just ordered and I feel confident it will work on my Raspberry Pi Retro setup. I have tried numerous solutions in lieu of this exact kit disappearing from Amazon within 48 hours of my discovery (within the last week). I had nearly given up and resigned to a very chunky spinner when I found this video, recognized the kit and ordered immediately. Thank you!
I'm very happy to see this for preorder! I cannot wait for my illuminated trackball. You always put out the best products Glen. I pre-ordered the GRS Panel Pod through tsticks as well, they shipped fast once it became available.
What an awesome all in one solution! Im working on a custom AT Games Legend Ultimate using a Gamer Pro controller modded and im curious would this combo work in a Coinops Build? PC based like Coinops Collections or Coinops Retro Arcade Elite?
Yes, and that's one of the main things we built it for. You just set up at working with your trackball and a spinner works by default. Just make sure the version of Mame or emulator you're using is set up to use a mouse
Hello..I just installed your trackball in my Atari Legacy cab..it works great, a noticeable improvement on all the ball games. EXCEPT when I play centipede, the character shooting doesn't move as fast as the trackball. It seems to studder slower just like the original ball did. Doesn't make any sense. I removed the jumper pin. And all the other games seem to play great. Ideas??
Thanks for the comment. I actually don't. The trackball 🖲️ should play great with all the games on the legacy unit with the jumper pin removed. Very odd that it has the same issue in centipede. Does Arcade1UP have a firmware upgrade available?
@GlensRetroShow not sure on that. But I have just read some other reviews elsewhere and seems a few others are saying the same thing. One guy said he had to get into the trackball settings in the game somehow and change a few because I guess the original settings are done to compensate for the crappier stock ball?? Not really sure and I wouldn't begin to know how anyway
@GlensRetroShow ok, thanks. I will say I didn't try it on Milipede. But everything else. The reviews I seen were on Amazon that people bought on there. But I dunno
This looks very cool. Thinking of getting something like this for my 3/4 Cab from Micro Center. I might be a tight fit. Can you tell me the dimensions of the trackball?
This is neat, but I already bought a Holland Computer trackball, it's the only thing small enough to fit what I'm building, But I may just pick this up, it's a great price! I'm already using the button hole spinner; Making a modular control panel, and it's really coming together.
Just sensitivity adjustments. If being completely honest it could also be done in the main menu, but some people still feel that the teeth in the disc makes a difference so we gave option for it

very nice, next build I will def use, already used your spinner, trackball was sold out, nice to see a combo unit at a reasonable price
It looks cool but how could you add a couple of fire buttons?

I am more Happy more so that you are enjoying the product ☺️
Mine has developed a wander up and to the left.
It didn’t do this until after a week or two of use.
I have placed one on order through Amazon. Oddly it scheduled to be delivered several weeks from now. I don't think it is shipping from China.
Great work Glenn :) how much Inch is this trackball ?
Does this have any option for adding buttons to work as right or left mouse clicks?
Did you figure out how to get a button, just ordered mine.
will work with Nintendo arkaiond games?
What size hole do you cut for the trackball? Did i miss that ?
2 1/4” is what I used. Then trace and route out the square portion. Approx 4mm depth for the routing.

I’m looking to build a cabinet using a Raspberry Pi. Has this combo been tested on it and if so does it work with games such as Tempest and Centipede?

Do you know why my pc recognize it but not mame ...?

Wow! Just put a PIP box in the corner, that "Green screen" effect is VERY distracting

Nice.. hope to see it completed 😊
Hi Glen....I know I'm a little late to the party...but will this combo work in a PC running Batocera?
It absolutely should yes.
It's seen as a USB mouse 🐀
@@GlensRetroShow Thanks man!! Will be ordering soon!!
Great stuff as usual, I’ll be getting one!
What's the advantage of the 48 vs 72 pin disc?

Nice product!
What size is the Trackball?
Any update on the spinner for the Arcade1up Tempest or has that been abandoned?
Thanks
Still unable to get it to register
@@GlensRetroShow I'm keeping hope alive! You're a genius at this kinda stuff and your products are top tier second to none
Have you tested it with the Legends Pinball? I've been wanting a spinner on my ALP but wasn't sure what the best solution was.
Not yet.. but if it will accept a USB mouse ...it should work
Nice!!
Alguien de México le interesa ts sptb combo tengo 1
