First off I want to say your channel amp evals and testing are the best on YT. DIYers rely on your testing for investing in quality audio. You're our holy grail source for picking the right amps. I can tell you from experience. A "marine amp needs all components to be coated or sealed. I think the idea with 4 gauge power terminals is that you run smaller gauge from front battery to trunk of car, then fuse that wire in the trunk at a distribution block and run a short 4 gauge from the fuse to the amp. That short run of 4 gauge can handle the current. Completely agree the 4 gauge outputs are overkill.
Don't know why people complain about the fan, it's not bothersome at all. Plus when you have an audio system, who drives with no sound? Which is the only time you can hear it but still. I love mine and I have 2.
keep up the good work ryan. some of us dont trust the manufacturers dyno test because they can max out all the settings and give us false info. a 3rd party test is always best

@@mazda2284pretty sure I've seen your name on another NVX video lol. I have the 2700.1 VAD and my only complaint other than the fan noise which isn't terrible is the 1/0 inputs. I have (and by no mistake) NVX's own zero gauge wiring setup in my car and their own zero gauge struggles to fit in the terminals because they make their terminals too tight. The really need to make them like a millimeter or three bigger just for extra spacing. Everywhere around me was out of ferrules so I had to trim some wiring when I installed it, and of course the only thing more permeant than a permeant fix is a temporary one

Mines going in my daily for a decent SQ but with the power to hit hard all day n not break a sweat (hopefully) how have you liked those amps, not many people with em, I had the OG 1200 on these subs in slot ported box, and although underpowered, they def hit, so now MORE THAN ENOUGH power but in sealed I'm hoping for a really nice all around setup for around $1000 in parts.
6:20 This. This is what makes it okay if you have 1/0 running to your battery in the back. use 4ga from your amp just have the amp close to the battery
However this board is totally inferior to their old jad series. So sad, profit margins over qualify. Hertz has now switched from the jad style board to this new one with pot metal looking terminals
Thanks for the video. If they wanted to call it a 1300 Watt amp I would be impressed with it. Thanks for shining light on the actual output Yeah it was just barely shy of rated power, but we are in a market where amps always exceed ratings if they are high quality so I thought nvx would do rated+
It met its rating. At 1ohm, it went 100+ watts beyond its rating. Given what these things cost, I'd say it's an easy win. Yes, most amps will exceed their rating and often by a lot. But they also cost 3X what this one does. And don't cover that much of a price increase. watt for watt, this amp would be a better deal than most. I don't run nvx though, I'll keep my old school JBLs and HiFonics before I toss in anything new.
Good old NVX living up to their reputation. No wonder Bruce swears by them. I'd love to have this amp pushing my Sundown Audio SA12D2s in my Civic. I have the Soundstream Rubicon Nano RN1.5000D just to have some overhead capability and to keep the amp cool and unstressed, and it slams my 12s, but it pulls alot of power through the 0/1 OFC wire. I think this amp would be a good choice for a great sounding quality car stereo build.

I wouldn't run the 1700w rms through it but that 1250w 2 ohm is honestly pretty sexy. You run two of these amps in parrellel on a dual 2 ohm high end sub, that's a lot of power. Probably more efficient too since you are running between 70-76% efficient. 2x140 amps max draw is doable with two of these amps on a single high end alternator especially when under normal usage you are likely only drawing 80 amps each

nice to see an amp that has a bit of predictability built in. Too bad its ugly. But less blown speakers if you know what is actually coming out of the amp.
Has nvx always been they're brand or did They just purchase? I had the old model nvx jad 1200.1d it was built like a rock. Also that amp came with a 1/0 adapter. Something happened to nvx sucks because the had imo the best 12ga speaker wire and 1/0 power cable no longer available???

Why don’t the manufacturers list dampening factor signal to noise etc. back in the day that’s what I used to sell higher end equipment. Now days it’s like nobody lists these specs. Def can hear a difference between a good amplifier and a cheap amplifier. But yes there is def some inexpensive ones that will get your mirrors shaking!
@@bigblank69 Sorry I know this is a old video. I’m thinking of purchasing this amp. I just purchased (2) SVR-8 | 8" 800 Watt Max Power Car Subwoofers . 400w rms , will this amp work for those speakers?. This is for a Powersports application
Good to see you back at it! Alot of "budget" full bridge amplifiers seem to use 4 gauge inputs. However, if you are like me and anytime im pulling more than 100 amps from my setup, i have at least one extra battery in the back closer to the amp, where a short 4 gauge run wouldnt be too much of an issue. But an amp plus 1200 watts should have 1/0 inputs. I imagine it shouldnt be more than a 8$ upgrade on the manufacturing costs, which ill gladly pay for instead of cutting corners to meet a price point. just my 2 cents. keep up the great content ryan!!
What amp would you guys recommend for some Polk Audio MM692 - MM1 Series 6x9" Coaxial Speakers running off a kenwood excelon kdc-x303 head unit on a 30 amp dc switching power supply low ripple
hey man love the reviews and the dynos keep em coming!! you are the reason i went with a soundqubed 2250.1 still goin strong. im not sure if you mentioned it in the video or if you have heard about this, i believe the reason SE only showed the dynamic power is because brazilion amps arent actually made for those burp style signals they were intentionally designed for very big demo buses with pro audio subs to send more thumping dynamic bursts. thats also why the are so small is so that they can fit a ton of them for more power but with more danger as well because they arent as stable as say a korean. just a little fun fact to keep you going!!!
Could you dyno a SS t1.6000dl they're pretty cheap at under 300 dollars and if they really do 3000w rms it would be one hell of a deal. I have one pushing an 18 and it sounds amazing and has been very reliable.

Distribution blocks are the best fix for those 4ga power/ground terminals. Most people would run a second amp for mids/highs anyway(I would anyways) How’s the SQ on these full bridge amps? I’ve never owned one.
David Harris its always been that simple. If it measures the same it will sound the same. The car always applies it’s own acoustic properties anyway. That’s what you hear.
@@Fly2kill1 He's asking about the SQ on this amp. There are many things that differentiate the type of sound/signal you receive from your amp. A few things to consider are, types of components used such as filtering caps, class of amp such as D, AB, AD, H, the board itself, power supply, etc... All of this (and more) affects the signal being sent to your speaker/s. I don't know the differences enough about full rail and half rail designs to know if they have their own unique sound differences, so I won't comment on that. I do agree with you 100% about "in car" response, although this typically applies to speakers instead of amps. As you state above, "20-20k hz sounds like 20-20k hz", every amp will put out it's own unique signal influencing how warm/clean (or dirty) it actually is. If I'm understanding you correctly, what your basically stating is that a Boss amp putting out a 100hz signal will sound the exact same at a Mosconi putting out the same 100hz signal. Yeah, tonally the same, but does is "sound/feel" the same? Very subjective, so it's hard to say and not as easy as you make it sound. That's the point i'm trying to make...
David Harris a mosconi amp power matched with the boss will sound the same. It’s all bull shit. As long as the amp is not overdriven there will be no color.

nice to see an amp that has a bit of predictability built in.
Hey love all the videos n info. I have 2 12's boss phantom 2300 watts what's the best amp suggestion for that, at a budget price?
Hey have you checked out the new CT sound CT series? I got the 1500, it has 4 gauge, and no recommended fuse size let alone a fuse :D would love to see that amp tested
Any fan that makes that RRRRRRR sound drives me nuts.
Are these Brazilian or Korean amps? I'm very curious about the MB Quart amps, the Discus 1500 used to be a great budget amp back in the day.
These are Chinese made. You can call them Brazilian style... technical name is Full Bridge design
@@bigblank69 Sorry I know this is a old video. I’m thinking of purchasing this amp. I just purchased (2) SVR-8 | 8" 800 Watt Max Power Car Subwoofers . 400w rms , will this amp work for those speakers?. This is for a Powersports application
Why are half bridged amps better/more common than full bridge? Does full bridge has poor sound quality?
$8? Try 20 cents
Budget Gem or Budget Bust Ya you're right, more like 8$ up charge as a regular consumer for a 20 cent upgrade!
Great video, I was going to buy the 2700 amp. I'll pass for the stinger or ct 2000.1
its called Coil Wien it happens in PSU and GPU of old stuff
What's up with that knife Lmfaooooo. Reminds me of 007 when you run out of bullets and you gotta stab folks
Got to use what you got lol
What amp would you guys recommend for some Polk Audio MM692 - MM1 Series 6x9" Coaxial Speakers running off a kenwood excelon kdc-x303 head unit on a 30 amp dc switching power supply low ripple
I got this same amp. Just get it
Why would you have 4 ga. speaker output and 4 ga. Power input?
What's the name of the song used during the Dyno?????
hey man love the reviews and the dynos keep em coming!! you are the reason i went with a soundqubed 2250.1 still goin strong. im not sure if you mentioned it in the video or if you have heard about this, i believe the reason SE only showed the dynamic power is because brazilion amps arent actually made for those burp style signals they were intentionally designed for very big demo buses with pro audio subs to send more thumping dynamic bursts. thats also why the are so small is so that they can fit a ton of them for more power but with more danger as well because they arent as stable as say a korean. just a little fun fact to keep you going!!!
Could you dyno a SS t1.6000dl they're pretty cheap at under 300 dollars and if they really do 3000w rms it would be one hell of a deal. I have one pushing an 18 and it sounds amazing and has been very reliable.
How about testing some SOUND ORDINANCE amps ???
Normally nvx 1 channal amps comes which a bolt on 1/0 gauge adaptor!
Not these... that was a feature on JAD amps... VAD amps do not come with an adapter
@@bigblank69 ok 👍 thanks
So NVX is the house brand for sonicelectronix similarly to how Rockville is house brand for audiosavings
Yes
Yes it is
Great to see you back in another good video 👍
1,899 rmsw uncertified 1ohm @ 13.94v
217.9 Amps this should run my new NVX-VCW154'S Labyrinth Enclosure build soon ... "I got 13, 14v batteries, 3 100 amp power supply's." Said Williston.
I'm gonna try 2 batteries with two NVX 500 Amp Mobile Audio Relay Battery Isolator [BIR500] 🤞🤞#NVXAUDIO #MAYZ
Distribution blocks are the best fix for those 4ga power/ground terminals. Most people would run a second amp for mids/highs anyway(I would anyways) How’s the SQ on these full bridge amps? I’ve never owned one.
Matt Fields simple. 20-20k hertz sounds like 20-20k hertz.
@@Fly2kill1 not quite as simple as that
David Harris its always been that simple.
Dyno some CT sounds amps
he doesn't like them. I do.
@@joshhanson6777 what do you mean he doesn't like those CT sounds is one of his sponsors
@@danielmcbride4828 if I'm not mistaken I've heard him mention something about never doing one. you can ask him to see if I'm wrong. but I swear I he did.
@@joshhanson6777 she probably know something we don't he probably knows the CT sounds won't make power the de says again and don't want to out one of his biggest sponsors LOL was probably why it says never do one if that's what you heard I'll take your word for it
@@danielmcbride4828 he said something to the effects of he won't test an amplifier that starts with a C and ends in dingger or something like that. I love the black ct sounds 4k's and 3k's and 2.5k's they put out crazy power. the white 7k won T Fades 6-7 k shoot out so I think its a personal thing. I really like some of Colman's amplifiers and I've done business with him for some of his blown amps and he was a great guy I thought. But I try not to hate on anyone for the choices they make. I'm sure everything is for a reason.
I’m looking for a alternative. Running a single sa 12 rev 3, 1000 -1200 rms @2 ohms. Any recommendations, clean power
I'm running the same thing with a skar RP 2000.1 and it sounds awesome plus the amp is decently priced.
any dyno results for a behringer ep2000 of ep4000 ?
Hey can u test the wolframe audio 2400.1 at .5ohm I have a $50 off code from them too if u need it
Buy it they're very underrated I bet it over 4000 watts from the other Dyno test I've seen on here from this brand.
I GOT A 2701 AND IT RUNS FINE WITH 4 GA.
Will it run... yes... Are you choking it down and possible going to damage it if you run full tilt... also yes.
Not bad for $280 on the NV 2700.1.
When are you going to test a Hertz amp?
Does anyone know any other amps besides the deaf bonce that has the bass knob with all the modes?
Digital Designs M series do
@@bigblank69 so it has the volt meter and the clip indicator and the amp temp? Looking for one about 2500 watss for a resilient sounds platinum 12
What happen to ur Dyno vids u been missed.
Who has a louder system......this guy or Big D Wiz?
BigD currently does. I bought a new truck in April and will be getting all my gear installed by the end of this month... I'll be running Hybrid Audio Unity Comps front and rear fully active, 2 Zapco Z-150.4 II's, a Zapco Z-2KD II, JL Audio TWK-D8 and 2 JL Audio 12 TW3's in a custom ported underseat enclosure.... then we will see which one gets down more :)
why do we not want to use bass boost?
does anyone know where these amps are made? I've looked just bout everywhere.
