Fetch is one of the commands that my girl refuses to do. She knows how to Fetch, she just refuses after doing it twice. I say in-between for her to help me balance. I'm sometimes unsteady on my feet. So, she goes between my legs to help me balance. If I point to my right side and say Stand, or point to my left and say Stand, she'll heel. If I say Front, she'll sit in front of me. She also knows the command Under. She started out being trained as a Service dog but sometimes she's way too friendly and wants to say Hi. She loves people and kids. She is my Service dog Failure. LOL!
So, she is only a registered ESA. She does what I need her to do. She knows over 30 commands.
But I do need her to fetch because I drop things a lot. She's just a bit stubborn.
She's smart and stubborn. I guess that's not a good combination. LOL!
    That's ok, I love her anyway. 😊❤

What confuses me is how service dogs can do this? and my dog can open doors, but Camp tell the difference between a piece of glass and something he can walk through

intensive training! even if its possible for a dog to tell the difference, they need to be trained for that difference to matter to them and what to do about it

Lol, your dog still sounds like a sweet dog, just a little special. I guess your windows are super clean - you need to be like me and let the nose prints build up before cleaning 😂.
A ton of training and the right special dog makes a service dog. Don't feel bad, my dog came from a national organization which has been training dogs for decades. They do selective breeding and start training on day 1 and they still only have a 50% success rate. You also need to keep up with the training otherwise they lapse into getting lazy or not doing the command correctly.
If your baby really is walking into windows though and it wasn't a joke, you can get special stickers that people put on windows so birds don't fly into them. Usually they are semi mirrored dots or squares you can put up at dog eye level.
