Yeah. The fact he is just 22 so all his project was done before he is 22. That serious talented actor. C actor rarely stable on character but this man never miss a thing!
The secret to longevity in this industry is diversity in his roles.
Kenny Lin is a perfect example in Master of My Own and The Legend of Shen Li just to name a few.
If an actor has a good range in acting, that is of course the best. I saw Shenli and Master also and agree that Lin did very well. In the West, examples of best actors such as Alec Guiness, Judith Dench, Robert de Nero can play so many different. parts.
However, character actors such as Schwazeneger, Cruise … can have long careers where audience actually look for their character to show up. In China, Xu Kai seems to play the same character in so many shows and the audience seem to like it - I am tired of it after several series.
One actress who surprised me recently is Zhao Lusi. She did many series with same character but in Hidden Love she did a good job expanding her range. May be there is hope in the Chinese media

For this bright young star, no one is throwing eggs at him for not knowing how to act....which quite a number of currently popular traffic stars are roasted for every so often. When I first saw him in Story of Kunning Palace, I saw that he has great potential as an actor. Then I saw him next in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love. Again, he was great as a 2nd lead and knew that he can carry on his own as a ML. I am not surprised that his star is rising so fast. He is a much better actor than many of the so-called "idol" actors.
He is indeed another big thing. He definitely has so much talent. There is something about his ooozing charisma that is just so addicting. I would love to see him in more serious modern drama like mystery or any detective story.

Wang Xing yue is a very talented boy. He has played every possible role - from a psychopathic villain (One and only), through an honest and honorable young man (Kuning Palace) and now in the role of a calculating sexy man! He always had huge potential, he was just too young for serious roles, but as seen in The Double , he plays perfectly and even the age difference between him and the women main character becomes invisible because of this! Yes, he should be in the A list of actors because he is very talented and very versatile in acting! There are very few truly diverse A-list actors!

I watched his earlier dramas in 2019 when he debuted -he had a lot of supporting roles as second male leads though. He is up there with Leo Wu and Zhang Linghe nowadays.

wang xing yue's eyes, body language tells everything. he knows how to act base on his portrayed character. being handsome is not only base on your physical appearance but on how you make your audience feel comfortable, make them cry as they feel ur heartaches, make them feel your own happines and sorrow from present to past. age is just a number to him. for me i adored this actor. he only prove that he is passionate to his work. he value his work and talent which was he shared to all of his viewers. there are lots of known actor but for me he is more unique . he can also do martial arts and as if can fly. the double is one of the most memorable chinese drama i have ever seen. for sure it has its best cast, producer, directors, writters, from its staff from high to lowest. it was from their effort why it was well done. when i last seen the last episode and try to search for another cdrama to view for this 2024. i have not yet found what i have found on them yet. im still expecting something more since i seen the double. their acting was very good that it seems you know how true it is. not so glamorous but a lot of actions to prove. all of its cast are unbelievable. every scene was well executed. wang xing yue do his best for this. i can not compare his features to other all i know is that i adore him, his work and dedication. hope to see more of your good cdrama series in the future. good luck and more power to my 1st actor who has a good of sense of humor and dedication. godbless❤
The answer is yes. This young man is terrific and he’s been terrific in all the productions I’ve seen him in thus far. The Double is great fun and he and his FL are killing it! I’m currently on episode 12 of The Double and can’t wait to see if the writers can keep my interest piqued. All the best to him in the future as I look forward to his next project. 🌸💃🏽

I also wondered the same, how does he find time to even brush his teeth?! Fox Spirit was a major let down for me. I almost didn’t finish it. JOL 2 was good but not as good as 1. I still adore Fan Xian & Zhang. He and Wang would be outstanding in a series/movie together. 🙌🏻😬
Now I just “hope” he survives the pirhana hordes of “netizens” who are known to attack & devour those the claim to love for any slightest perceived mistake. After finding C & K dramas I also discovered an ugly truth about the entertainment industry and fans in these countries - both are very harsh, critical, demanding and unforgiving. Being an actor/actress in either country is like walking around carrying a grenade just waiting for them to pull the pin on you…. Hard way to live life when you’re just a person trying to make a living doing something you enjoy & being creative expressing your talents. I hope these toxic attitudes change soon.

I haven't seen all these dramas, only 4 where he plays memorable roles (including the cruel prince ascending to emperor in One and Only, the impressive Zhang Zhe is Story of Kunning Palace, the arresting Meng Xiaodong billiards club leader in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, and now Xiao Heng/Duke Su in The Double) but I will perhaps take time to check the other dramas now 😅

As an older cdrama fan, my favorite male actor is Hu Ge, and I haven't seen any young actors that matches Hu Ge's charisma until this young man came along. I'm going to be so busy the next few months watching all his dramas. What a handsome charming young actor with an old soul like a veteran actor, he's surely born to be one.

I would LOVE to see a historic drama like "the double" with him where he actually shows EMOTIONS. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Double, but there were absolutely NO emotions on his face during the whole tv show.
You need to go back and rewatch. Micro-expressions. You have to remember his character was a very cold person. She broke through that barrier gradually and he would slightly smile, showing that twinkle in his eyes. The scenes of him just watching her, sometimes when she was asleep, he really showed emotion in his eyes.

He carries the whole "The Double" drama on his shoulders and talent, the others are not worth mentioning except they just there to support him nothing else. Don't like his female partner Wu Jin Yan. She is too old for him, 33 y.o. plus with her plastic surgery, botox lips she looks 50. Not a match for him. Next to her he is just a baby. Couldn't they chose a younger actress for him in this drama! I keep watching the drama only because of him.

You don't have to be Chinese to see that her plastic surgery went wrong and makes her look like she is in 50s!!! Unfortunately the FL, Wu Jin Yan, is absolutely no match to Wang Xing Yue. She is 33 y.o. but with her plastic surgery (which twisted her face- her right side with a big bump is bigger than the left) she looks 50!!! They shoot her through the filter but it doesn't help. (Chen Chiau En, Taiwanese actress (45) looks younger than FL) Wu Jin Yan in some scenes is absolutely ugly and all young actresses next to her look like angels., Wang Xing Yue is 22 y.o. and looks like a baby next to her! The FL should be younger and match the ML's age! In spite of this he pinned his role in this drama. Good Job!!!

The first time I saw Wang Xingyue was in "Scent of Time". At that time, I felt he had something special that I'd never seen in other actors. He had warmth and a sense of security in his eyes, the way he spoke, and his body language. And after watching "The Double", I realized that I was right. He has a charismatic and charming aura that is very different from any other actors I've ever seen. He has a warm glow. I hope he always remains humble and has good personal integrity in carrying out his career which I believe will continue to shine as he gets older.

Loved and adored him since Scent of time nd was waiting for his upcoming dramas as ML...and then checked out his other dramas like First Love, Delicacy's Destiny which are good nd enjoyable too...I was also surprised how a 20/21 yrs old ( at that time)can pull off those mature and complex/sometimes evil characters...Then The DOUBLE came and Boom 💥...Duke Su made us spell bound with his charisma in flashy red clothes and fan...Now I'm obsessed with him would be an understatement 😅😌😊...May Him achieve more success in the future ☺️

the first time I watched him is in one and only...but in that drama, I was mesmerizing with Ren Jia Lun character that I almost forgot him..then I watched Kunning Palace and Scent of Time..and after that he is becoming my bias..Very happy for his Duke Su character that made him rising just like meteor...His acting is legit, and agree with you he can play any characters..hope he will keep humble in the future and get many great roles in drama or movies

Have really enjoyed his work in past dramas but in those he never got the girl. Luckily that seems to finally be changing in his latest, The Double. Here he's again up against an 'older' woman but at least they are an intellectual match.
I first saw his performance in "One and Only" (Bai Lu and Ren Jialun), my favorite costume drama. His role was Liu Zisheng, the second evil male lead, who caused the death of both leads😡. They are my ultimate favorite couple so I hated Liu Zisheng and even Wang Xingyue ( I know It's dumb but emotion doesn't listen to the brain🙃🙃🙃). Then he again showed up as the second male lead of another of Bai Lu's "Story of The Kunning" Palace but as a good and rightful one this time. Still, I was like what the hell is this dude doing here😕. Then again the character and his acting made me a little soft about him but I still could not say I liked him. When his drama "First Love" aired, I would watch clips of the drama and scold Liu Zisheng looking at his new character.🤣🤣🤣
But when I saw his new drama "The Double" I was like, let's see what he has got for a few minutes and now I am in the 26th ep. I even praised him without noticing what I was doing. When I realized slapped myself every time. And I don't think I need to talk about his looks🤭. might watch "Amidst A Snowstorm" because of him now.
Then I realized how much of a good actor he is to make me hate him like that and then again make me love him with his works. He has great potential. After Xiao Zhan, Ren Jialun, and Ding Yuxi he is the first person to captivate me with micro-expressions. Also, is only 4 years older than me and doing all these (is he my future crush?). Best of luck Wang Xingyue, give us more good dramas.
