I couldn't agree more! I remember one time i was at a family holiday get-together (I don't remember if it was Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas dinner) and i was making my dinner plate when "Jingle All The Way" was on TV. It was at the part where Sinbad is at the radio station with the "bomb" package and then he starts ranting like crazy, and i was STRUGGLING to hold my laughter in and not embarrass myself in front of my family. And then it got to the part where the ponytailed radio DJ snickers and Sinbad goes, "Are you laughing at me?" When Sinbad said that, it felt like he was actually talking to ME. 🤣😂🤣😂
Ah one of the few times Arnold & Sinbad got to play a wholesome comedic characters, and you can tell everyone got to have fun with making this family film.
I liked Sinbads stand up. My mom loved a forgotten movie called " Neccesary Roughness" with sinbad , scott baccula and Kathy Ireland ( ok she didnt have a large role but, Kathy Ireland, early 90s come on)
"PUT THAT COOKIE DOWN, NOW!!" "She's next door pettin' Ted." Jaime dressed like a postman: "Here's to you, Dad." "We are being set up by rich and powerful toy cartels!!" "That was a real bomb? This is a sick world we're living in! SICK!!" 🤣🤣🤣
This movie has a special place in my family because my sister actually got to “live through this”. My mom one year of all things wanted the Hulk Hands toy. So my sister volunteered and told the rest of us she’d get them. So she was running and driving around like crazy trying to find some but they were all sold out.eventually she did find some.
The "COP" is Robert Conrad (RIP), star of the 60's TV series, "Wild, Wild, West" and 70's TV series, "Baa Baa Black Sheep", later known as "Black Sheep Squadron".
As a father of a 4 yr old the first year the Tickle Me Elmo doll first came out, I can attest that this is not an exaggeration. The days of online shopping changed this game for all dads across the nation. Great reaction!
Such an underrated classic. I’m not sure if this is still a thing with how easy online shopping is now but there is nothing quite like the thrill of remembering you forgot a Christmas gift and have to brave the stores on Christmas Eve. 😂
Those Turbo Man dolls were actually made for the movie and are _pretty_ expensive still on eBay. Such a fun ridiculous movie I love watching it every year too!
Arnold was absolutely brilliant to go into comedy after beginning his career with The Terminator and Predator. The contrast is so extreme it's hilarious. From "Get to the CHOPPA!" to "Put the cookie DOWN!" 😂
18:21 "Oh my gosh you're going to steal that one. Honestly I support you with this, Ted has been the worst." How can someone so cute be so immoral? also, 18:43 Tedward?
This is my yearly Christmas movie. While everyone else is watching Hans fall from Nakatomi Tower I'm watching the Terminator fight Jim Belushi and The Big Show in Santa Claus costumes.
This movie is definitely in my top favorite Christmas movies list! I watched it so much when I was a kid. They actually made Turbo Man action figures, but i was never able to get one. Hearing Arnold scream "Put that cookie down now" will always be iconic!!
Liz was played by Rita Wilson aka Mrs, Tom Hanks. The unlucky Policeman was played by TV Legend Robert Conrad (Wild Wild Wesr and Ba Ba Black Sheep), The Giant Santa was played by former WWE Wrestler the Big Show (Paul Wight). Evil Santa was played by Jim Belushi (John's Brother). Ted ws played by SNL Alumni Phil Hartman.
This is hands down my personal #1 Christmas movie EVER im old enough to remember the 24hr Jingle All the way movie marathon FX used to run and id watch it every year. RIP Hil Hartman
One of my all time favorite holiday classics for me personally. I remember having the movie on vhs 📼, and watching it every holiday season, and I still watch it to this day, especially on Disney plus. Thanks for watching the movie, and glad you had a blast with it. Keep them movie reactions going and happy holidays😉😁❤️🎄🎁🎅🏼🤶🏻🧑🏻🎄
Phil Hartman is doing some great Phil Hartman work in this one. If you didn't know (you might be too young) Hartman was the voice of Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure on The Simpsons. 28:18 This is why you keep gift standards low 😁
The first half of this movie greatly portrays the idea: "Luck is the residue of your management". He had so much "bad luck" because he didn't manage his time/car/family well
A very great christmas classic. Fun fact; Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Belushi worked together before this, Red Heat (1988). You should check it out.
Me and my brother used to play around with the first scene, the Turbo Man commercial. We used to say stuff like “Here you go Dad”, “Mr President, Mrs President, Mom” 😂😂😂 It’s hard to explain it in text, but it used to be hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The whole buying a toy in a sketchy situation was how my mom got my sister Tickle Me Elmo the year it came out. She basically bought it from a dudes trunk for a 75% markup (honestly not even that bad some were going for like 300% markup) and when she bought it the guy put it in a paper bag and said “go to your car. Go home. Do not stop to go somewhere. Go home”. People were getting stabbed over that damn toy
Hey Addie, this is a fun family film, seen it a number of times over the years. Sinbad and Arnold were a good duo. Tom Hank's wife Rita had fun in it. Yes, little Anakin Skywalker had a good role before the iconic character three years later. Nice reaction. "It's Turbotime!" The fake Santa was played by Jim Belushi, him and Arnold were in a movie together called Red Heat (1988). I suggest One Magic Christmas (1985), it's quite wholesome.
I used to manage a well known toy store and come Christmas week, well? Holy smokes. Some people's darkest animal side is apparently brought out by Tickle Me Elmo, The White Power Ranger and Sauron from Lord Of The Rings to put things lightly.
Fun fact: the little Santa in the fight scene is Verne Troyer who was MIni-Me in Austin Powers 2 and 3. He's the one that got punched in the face by the big Santa guy and went flying. (Verne Troyer was actually a stuntman.)
I recall a similar fad, Teddy Ruxpin in 1985-1986. Then Tickle Me Elmo. Phil Hartman plays a very convincing creep in Ted. You can't bench-press your way out of this is a great line. It is so true. As healthy as exercise is, a gym can't fix everything. Love this movie cheesy Arnold at his best!
Ah yes, the days before the internet made such frantic hunts for the year's biggest Christmas toy practically obsolete. The movie was actually inspired by the real-life holiday craze over Toy Story's Buzz Lightyear action figure from the previous year, and I think it caused its own craze for the real-life Turbo Man figure that was made to coincide with the film's release.
Except nowadays you have to buy them before bots buy them all to flip on eBay, and even then have to hope it gets to you in time, isnt damaged in transit and that no one steals your package from the mailbox.
Watching this for the first time in so many years, I didn't realise the DJ was played by Martin Mull. I know him for playing Principal Willard Kraft from the Sabrina the Teenage Witch TV series in the mid 90s to early 2000s.
@@DarkPaladin24 Actually I just looked it up and Kindergarten Cop is PG-13. Twins would definitely get a PG-13, if not a light R for the nudity now though.
Myron's bomb threat was believable because back in those days, "going postal" was still a thing, which was undoubtedly why this character was a mailman to begin with.
Howard deserves all of this trouble, not for being busy and working hard to support his family, but for being so disorganized and, of course, ironically neglecting his family. He could have found time to buy that action figure months or weeks ago, as requested by his wife, and keep his car fueled up (what if there were to be an emergency, as in a real emergency?). He brought all of his problems on himself. There was no excuse for forgetting, either, because he could have written down what he needed to do on a calendar or in a planner. He never seems to forget his many "#1" customers, just his family, which obviously is the point, and something he'll have to make up to them for. I'll laugh at him, but forget about sympathizing. He asked for all of this.
3:46 seemed like every year in the 80s and early 90s there was the designated hot toy you were subjected to ads for a.dozen times a day. "PUT THAT COOKIE DOWN, NOW!"
Arguably the best line of the whole movie.
iono... _out of my way, box_ is pretty good too.
Ted's reaction when it was too hot gets me everytime. "Pipe down in there!"
This is my current notification tone on my phone. 😎🤣
“I’m gonna deck your halls bub” is my top line. So many good quotes.
"That was really a bomb?! This is a SICK WORLD we're livin' in, SICK PEOPLE!"

RIP Phil Hartman. He was truly a comedic genius, even when he was playing an absolute sleaze like he was here.
R.I.P. Phil. It was a tragedy what happened to him. He would've had a BRIGHT career.😭
this and Small Soldiers - two of my all time favorite movies growing up and he was in them. such a damn shame. Reason #405687 why Ill never re-marry.
they need to have a black FRiday sale for Addison toys
I didn't know he was murdered by a crazy wife...
If you haven't watched News Radio he's so awesome in it! It's a great show! Super underrated!

Yeah, that Santa was huge! Lol It was a wrestler named Paul Wight a.k.a. The Big Show and The Giant!. Super funny guy.
The little Santa was Mini-me from Austin Powers.
Inthought that was Hulk Hogan
To add some stats he’s 7 foot tall and about 390 pounds
