“I mess up sometimes.”
Me too man. Just hang in there and keep practicing those arpeggios, and you’ll get there. 🤪
Probably worth mentioning, in case anyone's trying to play along, that BTBAM tune to C# standard.
It should be required by law to mention what tuning you’re in
Yes I was wondering. Thank you.
@@ryanreed380 I second that!!!
Evan Rademacher thanks Evan, so I go to learn the riff and I’m like, what’s going on here...
Thanks bro! Preciate you saving us the trouble of figuring it out!! This shit is a heavy as fkn planets!
I love the part where he pretends to make a mistake to try and convince us he's human
The second i saw that, that was my FIRST THOUGHT! LMFAO
Such an underrated song. I know colors is widely regarded as their best album but parallax 2 blows it out imo. It’s such a great blend of who they were and who they have become as musicians
A true prog metal masterpiece
I agree wholeheartedly. Colors and P2 are my favorite albums of all time overall without a doubt.
At different times, Alaska, TGM, Colors, P2, and Coma have all been my favorites to the point of obsession. Once I took the time to find recurring motifs they each grew on me.
That first riff is so good, very memorable.
greatest prog metal song off all time
My favorite song... and my favorite riff
Been a fan ever since seeing them at the old Ziggys in early 2001. They blew my mind. Such a great band.
Those PW hornets are sounding great! Paul is such a legend on guitar, a huge influence on my playing.
Fantastic !

DANCING TOWARDS OUR FUTURE
This reminds me of Stream of Consciousness by Drean Theater if it were in 8/8.
Is it common for guitarists who play in alternate tunings to compose and see the neck as if they were tuned to e standard?
I see it happen a lot and would do the same
what amp is he using? is it the Axefx in the background?
Well... I know this is a 2 year old comment/question but I can't help myself for wanting to reply. Paul now uses the AxeFx but before that existed, he usually played a Mesa Dual Rectifier (like all the 2000's metal guitarists) or the Mesa Mark Five. He also used the Mesa Rectifier Cabs but now uses a Port City cab. Like ole Paul, Port City is based out of NC. I'm pretty sure he uses a combo of the AxeFx, the Port City cab, and I think he still has a Mesa Cab in his touring rig setup. Also, Paul's signature pickups, the PW Hornet, are made by another NC company, Mojotone.
What guitar is that?
Ibanez
S series to be specific
Paul's Ibanez PWM-100
What size strings?
11-56
They both also use a wound third string instead of a plain one
Reminds me of Marigold by Periphery except way slower
Wow I was thinking the same thing I can picture that chorus coming in
Considering that this song came before Marigold, it’s not much of a stretch to assume that Misha was inspired by the song.
Also much much cooler.
BTBAM loves their 145BPM, Marigold is basically 3/2 of SFP tempo
because the prog metal scene is getting very vanilla sausage
Someone gimme that githhha
Looks like a regular Ibanez S model. No Prestige? Don't need Prestige?
Sig model. There's a MIJ and an Indo model, which I believe this is the latter looking at the bridge and truss rod cover.
It’s his signature model.
@@legoharry100 So there is a Made in Japan model and an Indonesia version I see. Thanks.
Tru playa 4 reel NCmetal4eva
cool
5 minutes for a 20 minute song?
It's funny that every riff rundown with BTBAM is from their worst or most simple riffs
Great tone, Badgie n I recorded a new song today, in Swedish animalpunk band GORDON GAZELLA
If you could not shill yourself in the PG comment sections that'd be really cool thanks :)
Yes plis, go buy my $10G guitar, come on!
