I do think you'll at least have fun with Darker Shade of Magic, less sure about books 2 and 3 lolol oooh song of shattered sans I have been meaning to give that a go for ages too. Oh dear I will be curious what you think of Sun Eater lolol
I'm definitely also guilty of stock-piling booktube-recommended series ... they'll get read at some point (hopefully sooner than later but who knows :'D) Mark Lawrence is one of my favorite authors and especially the Book of the Ancestor trilogy is one of my favorites. But, well.... I own almost every book from John Gwynne and never pick them up as well, so I can understand that strange reluctance to read a should-be-favorite new author completely. I know the books will be awesome, I will most likely enjoy them a lot, but what if that's not the case? :'D Also there's quite an overlap between my book-dragon hoard and your list - a well timed reminder what is still waiting in the depths of my kindle library :'DD
Sun Eater was the most disappointing series for me. It got really preachy in Disquiet Gods. As someone who is not of a Christian denomination, it was clearly not written for me. I'm glad that Christian SFF exists for people, but I wish that was marketed more clearly.

I always anticipate enjoying a V.E. Schwab book more than I do. So far, my experience with her is "meh." My son enjoyed Gallant, though.
