i mean they killed it with this animation, they did not just split the sky. they obliterated it. xD whitebeard and shanks clashing casually happened to split the sky, and both are epic. (although in the manga i think it was depicted more like clearing the sky in a similar manner? not 100% sure on that, ill have to re-read it) but i do think this is supposed to symbolize that luffy and kaido's wills as two of the strongest in the OP world are equal at that time. and its just crazy to see HOW far luffy has come. from being unable to even throw/land punches, to....all of this. and the crazier part is this isnt even gear 5 yet. we are getting extraordinarily close though to that moment.

He’s definitely reached emperor tier now. I won’t hear any nonsensical idiotic beliefs that he isn’t considering the entire New World journey has been showing how Luffy is growing in strength. He was warlord level up to his fight against Doflamingo, he reached admiral level when he fought Cracker, the BM mob, and then Katakuri, and finally reached emperor level here by splitting the sky, something only other emperors clashing could do.

Both Yamato and Momonosuke recgonized this, Momo well more than twenty years ago he was there himself and from rereading his dad's book, and Yamato from reading Oden's book about this happening. Interesting that Both are the Ones who inherits Oden's Will too, also Only Two who possess Kaido's Oni DNA Blood in them, Yamato his daughter, Momo got some Oni DNA of him through the Devil Fruit of Mythical Zoan Dragon God-King. Basically Kaido's Daughter Oni Princess just Become Oden and Oden's Son Momotaro just Become Kaido. LOL Truly Fateful Destined Situation. So Fitting......

Because each user has their own color for their supreme Haki. Doflamingo’ tru Haki was black. Kaido’s is dark purple, shanks is dark red, and luffys tru Haki is gold. Remember when Haki was invisible 😂

Luffy is in base form doing this! No gears or anything while Kaido is in his Hybrid Form. Luffy has come a LONG way from that kid in a barrel on Alvida’s ship. 😂
Whitebeard vs Shanks still feel more natural and more badass too me, they just clashed and the sky split. You don't have to use all these graphics and colors when two Yonkos collide.
U know I want the split sky just like whitebeard and shanks it really looks that the sky split in half but in here the sky split and dispersed…. It still epic but it’s lacking the wow or grandeur effect like shanks and whitebeard
It was more a parallel to roger and wb considering luffy and kaidos clash was far stronger than shanks and wbs. Btw this is not a power scaling statement I just mean shanks and wb didn't use coating or go all out in there clash. Liffy and kaido on the other hand are 2 yonkos in a literal death match and war.
