Finally A "remake" that doesn't seem like it'll insult the original, unlike MacGyver, 21 Jumpstreet, & Knight Rider. Though, I suppose this really seems like a continuation over a remake.

But one thing i know for sure...., our obsession never vanished for our bank-account and we already deceived people for years, how long can this continue ? Mulder: We need to keep investigating this as long as we can ! Mulder: not only human kind is at stake but, our believes to !, Scully, we can never let them know the truth. Scully: i'm afraid Mulder because the truth is out there ! we can't keep telling lies anymore ( flips out ) Mulder: Have you forgotten about our movie scully ? ( I want to believe ), it would be totally pointless !, atleast i got a few happy meals with this crappy deal . Pull yourself together woman ! ( slaps Scully ) You and me sold human kind out from the moment we signed our contracts in hollywood ! ( theme song x-files )
As a H U G E admirer of this work back in its very early years (particularly the three initial ones and sparsely the subsequent two) this is sad. Still, not everything dies Mister Mulder; we'll remember those early hits and ignore these misses as surely as history will.

When will the new series start? I just saw a commercial the other day about it starting anew,but forgot what evening they said it would return. Anybody know?
Stack em Short Yes seen that. But last month they had a commercial showing it will start back up on Thursdays. I did a google and they are thinking of returning the show,but not with David and Gillian. :(
