  • As always; Craig has been busy! The LT4 engine is back out again to complete some wiring loom modifications & the torque tube is modified to include a centralised Corvette shifter that integrates perfectly into the Aston Martin Vantage.

    Nice update. Craig is a perfectionist. I'm sure his mum knows now how clever her boy is. Hi Craig's mum. So really looking forward to the 'gotta get the wiring done next'. Again this is the biggest hurdle for engine swaps. Please ask Craig if he can go into detail about what he is looking for and how he mates one system to the other, especially traction control. Looking forward to the next installment! 👌

    Go on full boost and they use different parts through out a dyno session same engine and main parts but you see the difference between each part e.g porting, throttle body, lid spacers,

    its such a good build really. a much more modern engine into a lovely looking chassis done properly. its the hot rodding formula from from the 20's done 100 years in the future.

      It's a super low mileage XR4Ti that's in for some service stuff & paint before it goes up for sale.

    The complexity in a project like this is mind boggling. Love the AM body style but hate the cost of maintaining it. Kuddos to you for taking this on. Do you sell a kit that would allow for this project to be undertaken on the other side of the pond? Thank you.

      It's very low mileage & has stood for a while, so is having some service stuff done, then paint before it goes up for sale.

    You can save a lot of weight by removing or changing that OE exhaust and remember that the valve are vacuum control not electrical on these Aston Martin with a pump on the right side rear fender.       EE DESIGN I’ve fitted a charge cooler header tank and a big charge cooler , there is loads of space at the front so that’s been easy really . Air to air is not really practical with a PD type blower , ( well not when it’s already charge cooler ) , 👍

      It's an XR4Ti with 7400miles. It's in for service items before it goes for some paint.

    Are you going to run heat wrap on the headers GM coil packs hate heat love the Aston that engine at least gives the car balls to back up the body

      No I hate exhaust wrap !! I’ve never had any issues with heat in coil packs , plug leads are a bigger issue but they are well clear of the headers , most have covers over the coils which can hold heat in, I don’t have any but will try to get some as looker neater 👍👍

      @@craigtaylor5075 I've always hated where the coils are mounted on top of the cover I've seen some where they relocated the coils to the chassis rails better presentation in the bay after all it is an Aston 💯💯💯 loving the build progress

      I have moved them on a few cars but more for looks etc rather than heat , I didn’t want to move these as meant altering the loom plug plug leads etc ,

    I'd like to see someone redesign the rear of one of these Astons. Those tail lights look terrible. Custom fit a modern ass onto this car!

    Just a bit of feedback, the guy who is actually filming really does not pay attention and seems as about as interested as Boris is in building toy buses (google it). Can we have someone who doesn’t sound stoned & has half an idea what he’s looking at. Has the opportunity to ask some really insightful questions but sounds like 3/4 of his brain is thinking about lunch or smoking a zoobie.

    I've really enjoyed seeing your work over the years. Cant wait to see more on this and what you'll do in the future. I'm not sure if you'd be interested in it but there is a cooling system for the supercharger that works with you ac system too cool the fluid that run through the superchargers intercooler bricks.     I really like Astons, fantastic interiors, and this engine will be a worthy swap. Bit noisey in the background while you were recording, not even work going on. Chargecooler install will be interesting, good videos Rich!

      Oliver Dodic not really , that much extra power can take a bit of controlling , but we normally go through the car and do what’s needed as part of the conversion

      The key usually is to start with a car that works very well already, then just simply double the power. Haha

    Might want to consider replacing the rubber bushings on the Corvette prop shaft. They have a history of shredding them self's over time
