It is pretty sad yeah. Classical is mostly dying due to chess being full of draws as play quality climbs. It's just not fun to draw even 80% of games in championships. Faster time controls quality of play is lower and thus more mistakes and less draws. Shogi and Go for example don't have the same problem so all big tournaments have long time controls.
I believe that players currently have a lot of time to make moves. So it would seem a player can stretch a game to be quite long if they take their time making moves and that would be quite boring
I think he means the deep preparation of the opponents against him so that at the end nobody would enjoy it and everybody only want to win and there would be no privat life any more and it is not about the chess anyway. That is why he is promoting freestyle chess in long time control.

This is not what he said. He is saying he doesn't want to play in single matches that take half a day.
I'm sure Magnus is a millionaire many times over, yet here he's wearing a black t-shirt (without any visible jewelry). Shows he knows how to take care of himself & his money ☺.
There is no money in classical chess. Bobby Fischer said it a long time ago. People today want immediate gratification.
2 million prize money for the winner.
@@ewanjamie1171 he doesnt mean that
I remember a top player who took time off to go try major league baseball.
Maybe mare games less time and the tie barkes should be fisher random
They just need to hire him into the chess comittee and let him trying to make the chess evolved once again.
next: i don't enjoy castling so have decided not to do it anymore
bro shirt is more stretched out than a girl with a butterfly tattoo
He is the championship. Not beating him makes the title meaningless 😂
The 12 games ending up with the decision coming in the form of quick games is absolute shit. Do the quick games first and then 16 classical games.
More games. HE WANTS TO DESTROY YOU MORE THEN OFTEN TO SHOW YOU THAT YOU MIGHT GET LUCKY ON A GAME OR TWO.
classical chess is the real chess.. if you don't enjoy it you stop enjoying chess
It’s sounds like you’re an expert. Maybe Magnus should listen to you.
@@herrrmike i am no expert but i do believe magnus should come back and play the most prestigious tournament of chess. he shouldn't have any issues with the time control as he is a pro
I mean he still does play classical chess. Just not candidates and wc.
How many times does he have to say the same thing until they stop asking the question.
Reduzcan los tiempos!!!! Grrrr
It would bore him to tears cause he knows his move in such a quick time and has to wait for opponent when he can see their position is already losing
what does he mean when he says time control? What issues does he have?
I believe that players currently have a lot of time to make moves. So it would seem a player can stretch a game to be quite long if they take their time making moves and that would be quite boring
I think he means the deep preparation of the opponents against him so that at the end nobody would enjoy it and everybody only want to win and there would be no privat life any more and it is not about the chess anyway. That is why he is promoting freestyle chess in long time control.
@@KuangShenghe wants shorter/faster games… in 2021 he had a 8,5 hour game..
Bro is saying as if he is highest rated player of all time in chess😊
Bro needs chess 2.0 💀
why not make it a tournament, the player who wins the tournament becomes world champion?
smart move by magnus .. bro literally scared of indian players now
Champion = the best player = the highest rated player?
they should also ban draws
He said he dont want to grind 6 hour daily
Don't worry about that🙄
Since there is no Magnus,Fabi should win ❤
Should is a strong word. Fabi had won only one candidates till date.
@@satishkota7864 fabi has improved throughout the year he had one of the best years in 2023 so..He should to it now or never

2 45min games per day, 15 rounds
Ya,coz its draining...d time...
Did he mean to reduce the time or reduce the time controls as in from 2 hrs for first 40 moves to 1 hr for the same ?
It's all about the money. FIDE wants to make more money, designing the format with time controls and everything, and many don't like it.
