Schefflera Plant Cuting and Growing Tips I Pabitra Garden

I am a passionate gardener. I have been gardening for over 30 years. I would love to share my experience and expertise in this field with all my beloved friends.
Here are some tips for taking cuttings and growing new Schefflera plants, also known as umbrella plants:
When to take cuttings: Take 6-inch stem cuttings from a healthy plant in the summer
How to take cuttings: Using sharp pruners, cut a section at a 45-degree angle near the main stem. Remove all but the top two to five leaves
Prepare the cutting: Dip the cut end in rooting hormone
Plant the cutting: Put the cutting in a small pot with a well-draining potting mix, such as a mix of peat and perlite, or soil-based compost with equal parts grit. Insert the cutting 1-2 inches deep, but keep half the stem above the soil
Provide care: Place the pot in bright, indirect light and cover it with a plastic bag to increase humidity. Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. You can also mist the inside of the bag every couple of days. After about a month, if roots have formed, you can remove the bag and continue growing the plant.
