The key disconnect between our students and the political class and the leadership of our educational institutions is whether supporting atrocities committed by an occupation power is consistent with our values of justice and human rights. Supporting Israel may be perceived , arguably as consistent with our national interests, but that needs to be subjected to public debate as it impacts our tax money.
