The narrative itself felt like a tide or a wave combing the two perspectives and time periods.

When a Tamil student does research of a purely Bangla story written by a Bangalee author, makes some mistakes. First of all, Fokir does not belong to a tribal community, his mother Kusum was a refugee from Bangladesh who came to India during the liberation war of Bangladesh back in the 70's(possibly of lower caste or economic order). Secondly, this story doesn't represent the partition of India in 1947 which forced 16 millions to relocate, a huge population had been looted, thuged, butchered, murdered, raped, forced to convert or sold into brothels to satisfy the physical need of the conqueror.
And lastly; in 60's it was clear that, that day's East Pakistan and today's Bangladesh was going to be an Islamic nation, the upper class Hindus had already returned to India since 40's ( even some came in 1905 when the Bengal had been fragmented for the first time )and the remaining Hindus(some still live in Bangladesh,4-5% of Bangladesh's entire population )of East Pakistan realised that they had no future in that soil and hence they immigrated in this part of the world.
My intention is not to defame anyone, if I am told to do research on Periyar or Selva Murugan---I shall also make such mistakes which are considered as lack of attention to details, especially because of cultural differences and lack of the historical knowledge.
If I said anything wrong, then forgive my ignorance.
