This song has got me going every morning. It's one of my best worship songs.
Getting me through the hardest moment of my life. My daughter Jalysa Jacobs laying unconscious in critical condition due to being struck by a drunk driver on May 25, 2013. If you read this please begin to pray and praise! This song is a comfort to my heart. We were made to praise. We belong in his presence, this is accomplished only through praise!

My daughter regained consciousness as I held her hand in prayer a few days after that post. It was a long road to recovery but she has fully recovered and even had another child since then. Shara Johnson, I love it! I was feeling conflicted because I do it sometimes when leading praise and worship. I read a few comments where people said it’s out of order unless there is a translation. So, I take the microphone away from my mouth now. Wasn’t sure if I was out of order or not.

That’s technically scriptural. So I get a bit perplexed by it myself. That’s literally what it says in the scripture. But I also know that may contingent upon that time frame. Not sure.
The Bible is explicit (as in, zero room for misinterpretation) that speaking in tongues outloud needs to be accompanied by an interpreter (especially true when the language being spoken is non-existent). As a counterpoint though, I don't have an issue with it personally. Speaking in tongues should be something Christians can respectfully and lovingly agree to disagree on. It's not what determines salvation, it's not what makes one Christian more mature than another. So, while I accept biblical instructions about using tongues, I still recognize that folks who participate in the practice are still my brothers and sisters in Christ.
I cry every time I hear this. I want nothing but to tell God he's Awesome! We sing this at my church and I can not stop crying. God bless YOU Ms. P
