Hey ThinkMedia. This is a good video, thank you. We are using the EOS M50 Canon. Still learning is, however we are struggling with focus issues when out and about. Do you have any experienced with that for our channel? Thank you in advance, again - great video.
Today I bought the Fovitec - 2-Light 1000W Fluorescent Lighting Kit from thinks video “budget light for TH-cam”. Much needed thank you think media. I now have 80 subscribers
Ignore the CRI 3:37 the standard is broken and old. 100 is what you want. Companies omit this rating and is something that's just outdated, just no found a better replacement. Less than 100% means this: Human eyes sees tree- Green 90 CRI light green 25 CRI Blue green Just a rough example. It's how well a bulb shows true color when light bounces off object/subject
I just searched "Good youtube Lighting" clicked on this video and after watching I literally see no reason to look at anything else. Great video. You got my subscription.
Thanks again! I have researched items before buying and this channel has saved me roughly a $1,000 by not purchasing equipment I would have at higher prices without sacrificing quality. The camera is awesome! Can't wait to see my level of presentation after the lighting kit is here. Already have the Newer light
I love you, Sean! May Jesus continue to bless you! Buying these lights right now, finally saved up for them! I have the camera, lenses, will have the lights next week, and now all I need is the Rode mic! I will practice video recording and editing for TH-cam while I save up for the Rode mic. I purchased all of my equipment with your amazing reviews... I LOVE YOUUUUUUUU SOOOO MUCHHHH!!!!!!
Right now I don't have any lighting .. My husband came across this product on Amazon. You really can't beat the price so far all the reviews are awesome. So I will be getting this set ... Can't wait. It should help so much with my cooking & dehydrating videos.. Thank you for sharing.. :")
I use a similar collapsible set of softbox that didn't come with bulbs. I picked up a pair of LED bulbs that output 75W equivalent at 5000K each and use a color calibration card for white balancing and (if necessary) color correction in post. Works like a dream!
The lighting that I use for my videos right is the neewer led light... I just got it in the mail this past weekend and it makes lighting so much better.
I went ahead & bought these from your link Sean! - Thank you for recommending them - I love them! I got them in 2 days w/ Amazon Prime & had them up in about 10 minutes - perfect!!! Great light kit - great price!! Gotta be the best kit under $100! Thanks again Sean - love your channel!
Made my own soft boxes with cardboard, tin foil, non-woven white fabric for the diffuser and a dimmable house downlight mounted at the back as the light source. I had a couple of old music stands which I sit them on. All up, three soft boxes for under AUD50 (about USD12 each).
I recently bought a Bresser LED 2 points lighting kit with 2 stands and a carrying bag. I use these in my 3 points lighting set together with a Bresser Ring Light. works great!
I use the lighting kit which is two lights/umbrellas. I then take either a LED with a piece of parchment paper on it or a ring flash BOTH made for cell phones to focus on me or subject(I use my phone for my videos).
My first lighting "Kit" was 3 Clamp lights and 3 GE cfl bulbs. It was not the best kit, and it's not super portable, but for right around $50 they got the job done. But I do like these. If I could go back and do it again, I probably would have saved a little longer and got something like this.
If you had just started with a TH-cam channel, natural lighting works well too. However, if you have already made stability with TH-cam as a creator or if video content is one of your marketing strategies then investing on a Lighting kit will make wonders. But it doesn't mean you have to buy the expensive ones, there are best lighting kits that would fit your budget. Just like this one!
I love this lighting kit, it works so well. The bag is kinda cheap quality but the lighting has helped me with my videos. I definitely recommend it , helps with night shooting .
Love all of your videos from here and also video influencers! It has given me great ideas for me starting my TH-cam channel that I wish to start in a couple of weeks! Thank you so much for the great tips and ideas to get me started !
Booked, thanks for the video Sean! My goal with TH-cam is to empower, support, and celebrate dads. These videos help me create the most professional content possible. thanks!
I got this exact same lighting kit for my channels, it works great, plus it's easy on the electric bill. I couldn't ask for anything more at this price point.
Yo I just bought these lights and man I should of snatched these up a long time ago the stands are durable light box is well made easy to set up, and low heat the light it self is perfect These should be at least 250$ thanks again bro needed a softer light for my music videos.
I use a similar 2400 watt kit for $80 on all my videos, but I an quite arrays back from the lights and camera. This kit is great for small close up shots.. Keep CRUSHING it Sean! Always enjoy the videos!
Thanks a million for the video comparison (2:28.) Can't help but notice the $500 side being a lot crisper? I don't mind spending a little more than $75; however, $500 is a little steep at the moment. Any suggestions?
I use just one light that I place strategically while I shoot in front of a window :). It's a STEAL for 39.99 as it does wonders for my videos. Never gets hot, comes with lightbulb and soft box, plus it's pretty portable. Here's the world's longest name that I'm copying and pasting from my past Amazon order lol: LimoStudio Photography Video Studio Continuous Softbox Lighting Light Kit with Photo CFL 105W Bulb, AGG702
I'm excited about this kit and will get it ASAP. I'm currently using a Diva Super Nova ring light which I do love but it makes it hard for me to show beauty products I'm featuring head on because they reflect in the packaging. I like the way this breaks down so I'm very interested because I don't want to clutter my filming area
Wow, this sounds like a pretty sweet deal. I am currently using what is probably the lousiest lighting ever, three desk lamps with daylight saving bulbs. 💡
Definitely think my decision was just made on this! Right now we’ve been using the light connected to our ceiling fan, we just started using a desk lamp, but I’m definitely willing to reinvest my $$ saved on used mics and Amazon deals for some better lighting!
I kept watching the clock in the video. Kind of distracting. But it is something I will look out for in my videos. There is a hint you probably didn't intend to give me but it's much apricated. Thanks Think Media.
@@MrJersey Because you watched the video 3 years later! It's called inflation. Prices always go up which means the value of your dollar is falling, but that's another topic for another day.
Thank you for 6:03 to 6:06. Just that one shot of you recording just gave me light placement, camera placement, script placement and confirmed that I've been doing things properly! Have you done or considered doing a lighting tutorial covering removing shadows, shooting against a background, ect?
Thank you for this video. As a newbie and starting to get my lighting and camera situation together, I am taking your advice. Going to purchase this kit.
I use natural sunlight for my videos. I was ganna buy a ring light for over $100 but I think these soft box lights will work just great for me! Thanks for making this video😊😊
Good video. I was a bit confused though because on the $75 vs $500 kit comparison, it looked like the camera focus on the $75 kit was off, which kinda made that version look worse. I'm also watching in 1440p so maybe others won't see.
A really useful review of this SutdioPro lighting kit. Right now, I had been relying on daylight. Time to get one of these. Thanks Sean for this information.
The current lighting I am using for my videos are the window and the light on my phone which could be better because I am shooting in a room with only one small window and with a lens with a aperture of f4
I'm currently using 2 shop lights for lighting my videos. They were only $12 and made a big difference in the quality and consistency of my videos. I just need to find a solution to diffuse it some as shadows are a bit harsh at the moment.
The lights seemed to have changed. its now Fovitec - 1x 20"x20" Photography & Video EZ Setup Softbox Studio Video Photography Lights w/ 1000 Watt Equivalent Total Output $100
I'm using some Limo Studio lights I picked up for around 50 bucks on Amazon. They're getting the job done for what I need, though I do wish they were brighter.
Thank you Sean! I was about to purchase an expensive ring light, but you saved the day (and wallet) with an awesome review! I'm ordering these right now.
Thank you so much for your excellent videos, you are doing a great job and I can really see that you are sincere and passionate about genuinely helping us. You are a real inspiration.
It sounds great for an indoor space where you have good power source, but would you use in outdoor low light settings. I'm working out of my garage with a small hand light source focused on the work. During the day lighting is poor to ok, but at night it's almost impossible to shoot good video.
I always really enjoy your tech reviews. They're extremely helpful and I get a lot of value out of them. Also learned a more discreet tip within this video. Attaching your notes to the tripod! :)
Sean! Love your videos and they are super helpful when it comes to building my own channel. I started using the softbox set from MountDog which was only $60, a huge money saver and works great so I recommend that for others!
I've just been using a cheap 18 inch led ring but, looking into getting this lighting kit instead or to use with the led ring. Great videos man I've learned a lot from you and hope to put it into practice soon!!!!
I am on the look out for some new lights for my TH-cam videos! I made the mistake of getting umbrella lights! My lighting looks okay but I want to switch to soft boxes!! Thanks for the tips!
Hello.. your videos are awesome and very helpful. I am not teaching dance and video on Zoom. Do you feel this Soft Box lighting will work for that as well. I can use it for biz meeting also. I have dark skin and lighting is always a challenge. Thank you
This was an excellent review and I found the side by side especially helpful. I really like this kit and am considering asking my husband for Christmas. As for my current lighting set up I am using the two lamps that my household has, some plain white paper taped in a semi circle around the base of each of them and occasionally a mirror to help bounce more light around in the otherwise poorly lit room. Oh and for October/November I have has some fuchsia twinkle lights incorporated into my decor. 😊

Such a great video. I especially like the fact that it's budget friendly. You're the best!

Wish we had seen this light before we made our purchase. Great points were made. What we have will do for now.
Thanks for the tips! I use simple hand-made reflectors with white papers to create softbox effect. I will get this Kit in the future maybe...
Thanks for your review, Sean! Its really helpful.
I use a similar 2400 watt kit for $80 on all my videos, but I an quite arrays back from the lights and camera. This kit is great for small close up shots.. Keep CRUSHING it Sean! Always enjoy the videos!
What kit?
Not 2400 watts
I'm not using any lighting gear at the moment, but it does limit me to shooting only in the daytime. Thanks for posting this review!

thanks for the video my kit came in today and it was very easy to set up just like you mentioned, great review keep them coming!

Thanks guys! I was thinking about lighting and green screen today and what do you know, POP said my phone! New think media video on light!
True, it is all about the lighting. 😎
Heads up, prices changed so now it is $100 for this kit. Still worth it most likely.
Young Breezy Man, just saw the price is $100 not 75 as he said. How come price increased?!
i also see alot of horror stories on this light on amazon. beware. i will not b buying
I saw the reviews regarding the switches not working and looks like the carrying case is no longer available with it. What’s a better alternative?
