FSR2.1 works great on this especially if you're playing docked.
I highly recommend it for both modes if you want a stable 30 FPS.
I played this game on lowest settings possible and it still had issues running...
And the V-Sync seems to be broken regardless of what setting you use.
It's also forced on seemingly because turning on "allow tearing" did not change anything.
Quick tip for everyone. When you open the menu where you can manually adjust the gpu dedication. Make sure it’s ticked and turned all the way up. Mine was freezing and at 10 frames and I would adjust the gpu up and it would still be bad but I realized the steam deck was finicky and was changing gpu back to minimum until I clicked a on it, adjusted it, then pressed b
Is repeatedly dropping below 30 fps considered 'extremely stable' now?
Frametime, stutter, FPS all play a part, a dip of 1-2 FPS occasionally is still extremely stable, when its bouncing between 30-60 with heavy stutter, thats not stable. If you didn't have the counter, would you tell the 1-2 FPS drop? probably not
yeah when was even 30 fps stable? Its not stable 60 or nothing
@n1s2e yea that's dumb af😂😂 alot of games don't even run more than 30 fps on xbox series s. 🤡
Using fsr on the Deck really really is just a bad idea, the extra 5 frames you might get aren’t worth it for the visual quality that you end up with. FSR is meant for high resolutions, if your using FSR quality on the Steam decks 1200x800 screen your actually getting an internal resolution of 640P and it just really looks chunky. I find it better to give up a setting versus turning it on.
I 100% recommend using FSR 2.1 on any game that supports it just for the performance boost alone and the stability not to mention battery life.
@@Zinkolo have you every actually seen any true value tests though? The increase in battery is negligible, less than 15 mins in quality mode (on average obviously) and the performance boost is just about as useless. I mean to each as own but in my opinion it really muddys the quality of the image compared to what you gain.. the only exception I know of is in Red Dead 2 the performance gain is about 7-8 frames and dosent degrade the image much at all. But that’s the exception to the rule not the standard
Installed cryoutilities on my deck and Spiderman is running smoother than a babies ass with no visible spikes or stutter whatsoever.
How did you put ps controller setting in steam deck?..
Great game and one of my favourite games on PlayStation for a few years. Great character and story writing and acting.

Mine is set to 4gb but it should be auto managed in steam os.
I can’t even get a 30fps average on almost all low settings, I honestly don’t know how your doing that unless it’s just straight up false.
Have you tried the free performance boosts as well?

Turn off the advance scaling, it locks your game till 30

@@SteamDeckGaminghe has the dynamic scaling set to 60, it lowers the avg resolution so he hits 60 fps consistently
is this on steam or the PS+ app?
İf it's on the PS+ app how did you get past the part where you need to touch the trackpad on the dualshock since the trackpad doesn't work for me on my dualshock when playing on steam deck

this game keeps freezing on me so often i’ve literally tried every method of fixing it and it still doesn’t stop freezing and crashing
Might need to put a new thermal paste on your cpu or a new case that has thermal pads. I had the same problem and now it runs smooth.
Hey man what I did was go into desktop mode and launch the game from there. Then go ahead and lower the graphics settings to low. Then go back into game mode and you should be able to launch it. For whatever reason that seemed to fix this problem for me
